Not every day no... but most days,

I have to confess she was kept in yesterday & today(lame) (vet coming this morning) and i didnt groom her last night or this morning... it was cold and she looked so snug in her rugs i didn't have the heart to groom her and make her cold...

ok get it over with.. "I am a bad mommy" tell me i am wrong !

I will brush over tack areas before riding and then everywhere roughly after exercise. On her days off she stays snug in her rug and untouched

I must have too much time on my hands i think, as i brush my neds everyday.

I must admit i do enjoy fussing around them as leave their manes natural they are quite long and get knotted easily if left.

I do.
My three are field kept 24/7 but I keep a bucket of brushes next to the field gate...and brush the mud off their legs, necks etc with dandy brush/plastic curry, then body brush them under their rugs if they need it.
It's a way of checking them, to be honest. I also pick their feet out at least daily (partly to handle them and teach them manners).
But then maybe I have more time as I don't muck out...and my friend often helps me.

Nope, didn't think you were supposed to. I never brushed my horse once from May to October - but she was sat in a field doing nothing.

I do, head to toe inc mane and tail, kevin bacon on feet. Fully clipped and rugged but only had neck cover on the last couple of days. I work full time too - think I've got OCD thuogh as I have to sweep the yard to within an inch of it's life twice a day too

Both mine are fully clipped and rugged up. They get a quick brush over when they come in at night and feet picked out etc so they are ready and clean to be ridden first thing. Never brushed off after exercising - get put straight into turnout rugs, fed and chucked out.

If they go hunting then their dirty bits and tails get washed. End of!! Is that bad?!!

i always thort u should brush a stabled horse/ rugged up horse regulary for skin stimulation or something? mine gets brushed every day... only wouldnt do this if were turned out 24/7 without rugs to keep oils in coat etc

Nope, I get the worst stains out and the crap out of the tail. My OH loves grooming though and tends to do it for me whilst I'm mucking out!! Love him!!
