How many of you still get those priceless childhood moments?

So my handsome boy has been off work since 11th March after going un sound behind and after lots of patience and TLC I can get back in the saddle today.
So excited I might pop!
We where on route to competing at Windsor in the Pre veterans but obviously had to withdraw after he went un-sound behind! Was so gutted, But now so excited about our 15 mins of walking planned for today I feel like a kid again waiting for my riding lessons each week.
The joys of being 33 and feeling about 7 today : ) no rain will be holding us back!
How many of you still get those childhood moments, that are simply priceless?

Yes. Like when I was getting excited waiting for my new horse to arrive, when I did a small x country course, I could go on!!

Myself and my fieldmate have a theory that inside everyone horsewoman is an 8yr old girl who just wants to cuddle a pony....

I'm rarely happier than when just hanging out in the stable with them. It really is the simple things...

Me!!!!!! I am excited just about to leave to ride my boy for the first time in 3 wks!!!! I have been off as had toenail surgery......cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had many of those moments and never ever stop getting them after 17 years of owning horses.....my only ambition in life was to have a horse....achieved it at 19years old Happy horsing a-round peeps!!! xx

Definitely yes! I got my first ever own horse last October after want one since I was 5 (I'm 31 now) and have felt like a 12 year old since! Can't really believe after years of riding schools and loaning I'm cleaning my own tack and unrugging my own horse - it is all the small things! Couple of weeks ago we went in our riding club novice show and when we won our first rosette it took me back to being a little girl riding in a gymkhana!

Yes, when I was a pony mad child with weekly riding lessons, I would have done anything for what I have now

Oh yes!!! Especially with my early lessons and first and second ponies back in the 50s...!!! I could bore you all night with stories!!!

Had my ride it was so fab! My boy seemed well pleased for the short ride, even in the rain : )

Oh yes, just finised filling in my entry for my first County Show to do In-Hand with my youngster. I'm very excited! Only another 2 months to go! lol
