How many people do you bring when viewing a horse

I think thats too many because when I look at horses if I don't like it I don't get on it. Also I could ride for 10 mins and know its not for me as I'm very fussy about how my horse goes.

I would feel bad having five people who trekked around all day just to be there for 10 mins and for me to say erghh I hate it. Its me, my mum and occasionaly RI if far away or second viewing. :)
 
That does sound like too many people OP but I suppose if the buyer needs all those people's opinion to make her decision then so be it.

Most horses i've viewed it has been me and my mum or me and a knowledgable friend but unfortunately I could go down south horse hunting with anyone last week so I went alone. I feel like i've made the right decision and I know my mum would definitely approve of my new boy but we shall see how he goes when he arrives!
 
Why does it matter? I don't care who turns up so long as there is a rider! I have taken up to four of us to view before.
It won't affect the horse having 5 people looking at it imo-in fact more likely to get a sale if they know someone !
 
I'm currently buying a horse, and I've taken 3 other people with me for any horse that I thought was a serious prospect - my riding instructor, my riding instructor's partner (who has had a lot of experience with youngsters and groundwork) and my boyfriend (because he refused to be left behind).

When I went back for a second visit to the horse I liked, it was just me and my boyfriend - I found the horse was a lot more relaxed that time.
 
It does seem a lot but buying a horse is a big decision. If that many people came to view my horse I wouldn't be that bothered, I've got nothing to hide and I would want the person buying to be absolutely sure and if that means an entourage of people so be it.

I usually take my non-horsey partner with me and if I see anything I like I arrange another viewing and take along an experienced friend to get their opinion.

This is how i would feel - PLUS i would be pretty peeved about 5 'strangers' walking round my yard.

5 is far too many - ive had 4 turn up before to view a horse but that was slightly different as it was the parents (who were paying) and 2 teenagers who were going to share the horse anyway!

I would feel really conscious with that many people and would try to figure out who were the most 'horsey' of the group and try to only address them instead of repeating myself!

I would also think you were complete day trippers!
