How many people have been hit by cars out riding?

I have lost count of the number of near misses I have had on my mare. I have only been hit once, riding another livery horse. The lad who owned him was at Uni and they wanted someone to keep it fit. But, needed someone experienced to ride her as she had rider induce issues!

We were riding down a busy, but straight road,that has the local riding school on, wearing high viz. The horse miss stepped, she only stepped out slightly, but the car was too close. We both hit the deck. Luckily there were no big injuries and the horse was bother by traffic, after she was hit.
 
Yes Ive been hit..

was about 14 years ago, was hacking out, and was just about back at the yard, 100 metres from it, and my horse spooked at something in the grass verge into the path of a van, it knocked us to the ground, I was ok but my horse dislocated her front fetlock and broke a back pastern, had to have her PSL...

I had bred this horse and had walk inhand on the roads for a couple of years before I backed her and she was fine with buses, lorries, motorbikes etc....

Had a near miss here in Spain with an Arctic lorry...friend and her horse ended up in a ditch (cuts and bruises but ok) and Freckles (my horse) went crazy, must of missed us by inches.... swore I would never ride on the road again.. and where I live now I dont have too....
 
I had a near miss, when a car came round a bend, saw us up ahead, braked (I assume) skidded (the road was wet and leafy) hit a wall and ended up upside down. Thankfully a good few metres away from us. I quite thought the driver would be dead, but she just had injuries from the broken glass.
