How many piles of poo?

Do your horses produce on average a day? I only ask as I have a ridiculous one in at the moment, mucked out every 4 hours during the day, producing 3/4 or more piles every 4 hours. Properly formed etc. but I have never had one produce quite so much!

I was always told, between eight and ten a day!

Between 4 and 6 when out in the field during the day and between 3 and 5 in the stable overnight.

Our two live out and have 2 poo piles each - one each at each end of the field, each pile is several poos but it does make picking very quick and easy!

god my infoal mare does 12 poos a night, she goes in at 4.30 and is mucked out again at 6.30 am spread around the stable and mushed in if im late!

Ours are out now 24/7 and when I poo picked this morning there were four piles each. I do try to do daily to keep on top of it but I also love poo picking, I normally sit on the floor!!!

I think 12 a day is the norm actually. One thing horses are all good at..........
