How many rosettes have you won? Just a little fun ;)

How many rosettes have you won?

Like Rema,

They live in boxes and even moved 3500 miles with me. My most treasured one is a 'pity prize' awarded in 1974 for Best Turned Out when I put my Highlands foot long mane into braids the size of lemons. Three tier, oval and brown but I love it still.

Too many to even contemplate counting. I have suitcases full of them. I display only the extra-special ones but, like rema, each one has a memory, especially the first one I ever won, a second for jumping. I won over 500 jumping classes with just one horse and have many championship and supreme championship rosettes and sashes from the showing days. Also won several rugs.:D

millions and millions and millions - maybe even gazillions

(I really don't know, and I'd love to say they are all special to me but...)

Over 100, mostly from shows as a child, some from jumping, x country, mostly from fun things though, eg prettiest pony.

Still look at them from time to time, and they all bring back lovely memories :)

Wouldn't have a clue... hundreds! I have some that are really really special (my first ODE 1st, last show on my old pony, first 1st on my old pony :D ) , but as all of them have the date and venue on the back, I reckon I could actually remember the day!

Have to say... If I went and did a clear round I don't think I'd accept a rosette (unless it was horses first or something) would get lost in my box and someone else would probably treasure it much more :p

3 :). One for coming first in a 'show jumping' comp where I was the only entry, and it was trotting over ground poles (and I went the wrong way round the course :)). One for being most improved in the beginner class. And one for coming first at a Prelim test at my riding school on my favourite school horse.

They mean the world to me, hoping to get another at the next dressage comp I've entered in August.

I have 5, one from a sponsered ride (so doesnt really count but ah well), i came 2nd twice in some gymkhana games aged 11, a special, and a 4th in best childs pony. May have a clear round one somewhere too.

I have over 100. I'm proud of all of them, some are more special than others and one I'm embarrassed of but I keep it as a reminder to be humble. At a hunter trial, I led my son around the under 12 course for his 1st ht. At the end a lovely woman wanted to present me with a rosette for going around the course. "Oh, no," I said, "I can't accept that, I'm doing the open next". It was then that I noticed the xpole on the ground and my son's pony well up over it..... :o

500 plus mark. Various differnt classes. Used to write on the back of every single one of them what class I had won them for and the date the show. Like others have said, proud of them all. Most proud of overall supereme senior champion 1991. Won this for most overall points over the season. Riding whilst pregnant. Went up to get my trophies 4 days before my daugher was born. She is also horsey and a straping 5 foot 10 with size 8 feet. Who says riding whilst pregnant stunts grown. Not recommended to everyone I now, so no grief please.

I've only ever competed once but I got 1st! It has pride of place in the living room on a photo of me and Black, the horse I was competing :)

I'm more of a happy hacker, I'll get more rosettes one day though... hopefully :p

A couple of hundrered, hardly any affiliated though, 90% show jumping, some xc and showing :) a few trophies too :)

Next challenge is dressage :D

Thank you Hedgepig! The problem with this is that people can get a bit competative. For example milliions of rosettes would have meant competeing one animal every weekend for over 19,000 years. Obviously the sum reduces the more horses you have - but it would still make the poster very old!

We write on the back of each what the class was and who dd was riding. They are stored in years; but the precious ones get pinned to a laminated a4 photo of her riding and displayed. When the wall gets full they too get stored, photo and all.

And I think I have one of mine from gymkhana games in the '70!

I've got over 1,500. 95% of them are from 20 years of showing. I have 12 from gymkana games (why don't shows have these any more??!!) 3 from jumping classes when I was a kid, 30 from best turned outs at Perth racecourse and about 30-35 from online photo shows lol!

Along with the rosettes I have won dozens of tropheys, a Welsh Medal but only 2 sashes! One sash was won by my shetland with someone else riding him, the first one I won all on my own was in November 2010 at the Hocamaffe's first ever show out of racing. He was 2nd in his in-hand class then went overall in-hand champion - much to many peoples annoyance! I like sashes! I want more of them but they aren't common in Scotland.

Most of my rosettes are up on pin-boards, the photo shows ones are in a box, the bto's are pinned onto my sidereins - I knew I'd find a use for them one day! And the rest are stuffed into the bookcases lol!

With my own horse, just 6, though she has another 3 she won with my nephew.

I have lots from shows with RS horses too, and even one from the little pony I learnt to ride on. I save them all and write on the backs.

About 10-15 from march this year, I keep them on a mirror in my hall :) no 1sts yet though but I live in hope! I had lots from my pony when I was a kid but my ex threw them out years ago :(
