How many rugs do you have for your horse?

I was just wondering how many rugs people have, like do you a l/w, m/w and h/w t/o's for winter or just a light and medium etc? Im thinking about just getting a medium or heavy t/o (already have a light) and then just putting an old fleece under for colder weather...?
 
I have 2 l/w, 2 m/w and 2 fullneck h/w each for all mine. I have 2 stable rugs for the big ones and 1 for the pony. 4 fleeces for the big one and 2 for pony. 1 sweat rug each. 1 rain mack each (perfect when your at a show) and a couple of woolen rugs which are old but brilliant. I do tend to collect them as i go along.
 
mine both have a medium weight and a heavy weight for when really cold, as i do find under rugs like fleeces tend to rub.

Currently 1! But that's because I've just got a new horse that is bigger than my last!

She's living out so will have a no fill rainsheet, then a Rambo duo 100g with an 100g liner and 300g liner to add as appropriate. Also have a slightly too small thermatex for her to cool off. May also get a premier equine heavy as we are rather exposed and I full clip, always good to have a spare too.

I had 12 for my last horse and no storage which was a nightmare let alone wash and reproof bill! Trying to keep this horse's down!
 
Blimey I thought I was bad with 13! He has a l/w, m/w and 2 h/w turnouts, a fleece, an under rug, a m/w and h/w indoor, a cooler, a fly rug and then 3 exercise sheets. I have just sold 2 though as thought I had too many. I find if I hang them up in the tack room overnight and put a stable rug on they're dry by morning if they've got very wet, although they don't tend to get wet through!
 
Erm loads .. I have 10 t/o all different weights ( can't stand wet rug ) and 17 stable rugs including fleeces etc and 3 ride on rugs ...and I will prob buy one or two more this winter :/ ... I own one 14.2 very spoilt welshie :)
 
3x l/w turnout, 2x fly rug, 2x medium weight, 3x heavy weight, full neck stable, standard neck stable, 3 fleeces, jersey cooler, under rug, snuggy hoods rug. Then 2 x exercise rug, 1x ride on fy rug :D

Not including the older rugs which I have passed on to others :)
 
Too many - oh for the days when it was just one tatty NZ. None of this worrying about no fill, lightweight, medium weight or heavy weight? No neck, half neck or full neck?

well as I have only had Kasper for a couple of months and he has 4 rugs, but I anticipate my rug addiction will take hold once I am certain he's not going to grow any bigger!
 
OMG I have way to many, I have some at the yard in my house & garage but I still keep buying . I must sell some :O I have two horse but must have about 30-40 rugs . God that's alot .
 
too many to count - lw mw hw stable, lw mw hw turnout then about 6 cotton sheets, a fleece and a show rug.
so that's 14 rugs each - 42 in total? I probably have a few more lurking in the garage :o
 
I don't think I'm overly precious about my horse & yet she still has 10 rugs............and then there's the other horse who lived out happily all last winter without a rug but I think she has at least 10 as well. After many years on livery I now keep the horses at home & have been trying to hide my rug collection from my OH! I think I might just have bought 2 rugs on Ebay for the pony my Mums given me for the winter to break - hopefully they'll arrive while OH is out.
 
0-1 turnout each. And I have a selection of old rugs of various sorts that aren't anyone's in particular, but which I use for anyone who needs one.
 
My name is ebonyallen and I am a rug aholic, have at least 11 turnout 9 stable 3 fleece 1 cooler 1 woffle 2 exercise 1 sweat rug 2 flyrugs 1 summer sheet, think that's it but prob more and have forgotten about them lol :eek3:

1 x fleecy neck rug
3 x cotton hoods
2 x standard neck fleece coolers
3 x medium fill combo rugs (2 for paddock, 1 for shows)

Bo has -
3 x standard neck cottons
3 x cotton hoods
1 x fleecy neck rug
2 x fleece coolers
2 x Medium fill combos

14 rugs in total
9 hoods/neck rugs

not too bad :)

A very stupid insane amount.
I do think of getting rid of a pile but have no where in winter to dry them so actually do use the whole lot at some point. I really hate putting wet rugs on .... I really need a rug room next ;)

Oh and he has a cotton waffle rug for travelling too!
