How Many Rugs?!

I have:

2 fleece coolers
a fleece exercise sheet
a hi-viz exercise sheet
l/w stable rug
h/w stable rug
l/w turnout
2 h/w combo turnouts

and currently shopping for a m/w turnout! I don't feel too guilty though as I've only bought the exercise sheets; everything else came with him when I bought him :)
 
Hmmm, I used to have to many for one horse, but seeing as the newest one is the same rug size, they can share the following:

1 lw turnout
1 lw turnout with neck
2 mw turnout
1 mw with neck (will be ordering one extra of these)
1 hw turnout
2 hw with neck
2 stable rugs (they live out, but useful as under rugs)

far too many fleeces :o

Apart from one of the mw and a couple of fleeces, they all came with Amber 6 years ago :eek: I love the fact my horse looks after her rugs :D
 
Loads! I love buying rugs. They just seem such good value for money compared to when I was a kid and every horse just had one turnout and one stable rug.

I just counted and I make it 17 in total! I won't bore you with the list but that's pretty bad considering I've donated a couple to my sisters youngster.
 
Sec A has none
Sec C x D has one lightweight turn out with neck. Was also given a manky fleece rug but have never used it as can't bear to put it in my washing machine :o
New Paint mare is coming with 2 turn outs and a stable rug and I already have a very nice show rug that should fit her.

Don't intend to buy any more but may have to get one for the A as going to a show in November and she lives out.

I have lots of turnouts but most of them are used due to having four horses that live out. However I do have some rugs that I don't have a horse in the right size for and TBH I'm not likely to get a horse big enough for them again. I really should sell them... but so far I've hung onto them. Maybe I'll sell them when the gelding is fully grown to fund a new rug for him. ;) :p

So grand total is 31 so about 10 rugs a horse. although 3 of the rugs arent used as too small. After a lightweight turnout with neck at some point.

The pony has two turnouts and one fleece - one of the turnouts is generally used for covering my hay/haylage

The TB has:

1 reflective exercise sheet
1 newmarket exercise rug
2 stable rugs
1 under rug
1 heavyweight combo turnout
2 lightweight turnouts
2 100g turnout
1 200g turnout

Total for the TB - 14 rugs......it really isn't necessary is it!!

I have one horse and far too many, I have ones down at the yard - in his stable plus in a huge trunk, ones in the horse box - show only rugs at least 3, a huge amount in the shed, but I love rugs and have to stop myself buying more.....just yesterday I brought another as needed a hw standard neck stable(of course I didn't but brought it all the same)
The yard is amazed how many I have but my view is you can never have too many, I could open a tack shop with the amount I have though!!
 
Only the one now, as my little mare is off on loan with all her rugs! My friend is delighted as one of the rugs that's too small for Seri fits her old lad! lol!

Old lady lives out, so 'needs' all these! ;-) I also have a couple of knackered old rugs that are emergency ones and usually used to cover sick sheep!!
 
We have 2 horses. My mare has over 25 rugs... my sister's gelding has 3 :D Guess who's the rug hoarder in our house? :p She does need all of them though and only has one or two duplicates of the same weight ;)
