Am having my saddler out tomorrow to check the fit of my thorowgood, i think she's muscled up a bit since the last time he came out, 3 months back......it needs tweaking.
I also have a dressage pro wintec adjustable knocking about and since we are going to be focusing on dressage during the winter i have decided to have it adjusted to fit her.
So she will have 2 saddles :)

I also have 3 bridles for her!! just a little collection...........she has her brown hunter jeffries bridle we use everyday and showing and also a comfort bridle with a hunter noseband in black which will come out for dressage on Sunday providing the saddler can work with the wintec! She also has a very plain one for spares.

\my welshie who isnt backed yet has 2 bridles, a HORZE one and a smart inhand bridle. The wintec was for him but since he won't be doing anything till next year i may aswell get some use out of it :)

How many bridles and saddles does your horse have that you use?

I have 3 saddles for Fergs (and wouldn't mind a western for him too). J has his saddle and wears 2 of Fergs. Dae wears J's saddle. I also have 3 "spares" kicking around. It's a complicated business.

Fergs has a double bridle and a snaffle. He also has a zilco combi bridle for TREC/hacking and an old one for lunging. J has a show bridle and a day to day one. Dae just has an old one of J's. Plus I have loads of spares - some parts, some whole bridles.

I also have 5 running martingales, two 5-points and a breast girth. Probably 30 saddle cloths, half a dozen sets of bandages, a dozen sets of boots in various sizes and functions, half a dozen spare nosebands and rein sets and assorted junk.

I could open up a tack shop

1 saddle, 1 bridle :) am thinking we need to invest in some more numnahs though as shes only got 2 & as they are usually drenched after 1 ride there's no way she has enough for pc camp!! x

Mine have a saddle each. I'm only a leisure rider though so don't need different saddles for different things. They also have one bridle each.

I do have a selection of other saddles and bridles though from previous horses, I tend to keep them just in case! Both my current horses are wearing a saddle and bridle from my collection, neither had anything bought specially for them.

I could open up a tack shop

Ha, me too. Possibly better stocked than some tack shops I've been in  In my defence I have a bunch of horses, and have been a horse owner for a long long time. Stuff accumulates...

one horse currently has three saddles :/ but only one bridle - i just had a massive clearout so i can go out and get a new bridle :) have loads of pieces of bridles that i could possibly fashion together to make something half useable! i do have a saddle problem though and like to change/buy/sell them quite often!

The hairy highland has 2 saddles. A GP for hacking and a dressage for, well, dressage (!) but also for showing. He has an everyday bridle and a "best" bridle for shows etc. but tbh, if I had a bottomless money pit I'd have one horse and a whole tack room full of saddles. I just love them! Pity they're so expensive.... Hey ho, just off to buy a lottery ticket.....

Reggie and guests tend to use his Albion XC saddle for everything. Smokey has his own saddle, as do the 2 other ridden horses on the yard (18.3hh hunter, 15.2hh Welsh D, and Smokes is a 15.2hh on tiptoes skinny minnie). If Smokes and the hunter could use Reg's saddle they would but no amount of padding will make it fit. Reg will probably get a dressage saddle at some point, but as he's not even doing Novice eventing it seems a bit pointless!

Bridles, they all have 1 each as they all have different bits- if they wore the same bit they'd probably share for everyday. They all use the same bit for everything. Then they all wear a neckstrap, and then for jumping Al adds a breastgirth. It's a high-tech arrangement we've got going on!

Big lad has dressage and GP saddle and 3 bridles.. Sasha has GP saddle and stock saddle, a western bridle and polox bridle and normal snaffle, the polox bridle is a Cheltenham gag for brakes. And don't let's go into how many boots and bandages they both have..!

My big lad has 2 saddles DR & GP/jump. 4 bridles, 1 for dressage, 1 for jumping, 1 for everyday and 1 for lunging/passoa work.
Pony has 1 saddle GP/jump and 2 bridles 1 for gp & 1 for hunting.

Two saddles - my saddle co event saddle, and a very old zaldi dressage saddle. Two bridles, an fss patent one for dressage and a collegiate hunter bridle. Both are doubles but currently have my hunter one as a double for showing, and my dr bridle has my Cheltenham gag and running martingale attached for sj. Will switch back again once showing season is over... Also have a million BITS of bridles and random tack :) x

2 saddles, a VSD (brown) and a jump (black).

3 bridles, one brown and one black and a brown bitless Dr Cooks.

Just the one, but am hoping to get her current GP saddle reflocked and done etc by a saddler as its had nothing done in the 8 years I've had it... except actual fitting checks lol. I want to save up and get a proper dressage saddle as looking to do more flatwork with her now and save the GP for any jumping we might get to do!

1st horse just one saddle - Pathfinder Endurance saddle

2nd horse two saddles - Specialized Western Trail and Equiflex Western

Pony has one - Paul Jones GP

OH 1st horse - Specialized Western Trail

OH 2nd horse - Pullman Western Saddle

I have two saddles, a treeless and a total contact. I also like riding bareback. I have a bitless bridle but much prefer riding n just rope halters

Kal currently wears one jump saddle (Keiffer - Z's), one dressage saddle (Spalding - Z's) and one GP (Kent & Masters mine) - all three were recently checked/fitted. As for bridles, we have . . . one dressage bridle (Stubben - Z's), one Mark Todd cavesson with detachable flash (mine), one grackle (Ascot - mine) and one lunging bridle (which is just a simple cavesson with the reins removed - Ascot -also mine). I also have bits and pieces of the Rhinegold he came with, several sets of reins and two martingales. Oh, and he has rather a lot of headcollars too . . . three cotton/webbing (black, green and purple), one brown leather, one black patent leather (for competitions) and one rope/pressure headcollar.

I think i border on the ridiculous!! I have 3 saddles for Fab, a jump, a GP and a dressage. I was using the GP for hacking but have been using the jump one more for that recently. Bridles? 4.....i know! I use an old tatty one for lunging, nice Stubben one for dressage, old Stubben one for jumping and hacking and another one for hacking in company. Why so many? 1 because i'm a bit obsessive about matching and the saddles are different colours so bridle has to match :shame: and 2 i guess cos i'm lazy and saves me changing bits all the time!!!

Jenny.... 1 dressage saddle & 1 jump saddle. 1 bridle for jumping with kimblewick, 1 Mexican bridle with hanging cheek for hacking, 1 snaffle bridle and 1 double bridle!
Dee...... 1 dressage saddle and 1 jumping saddle currently on order. 2 snaffle bridles, one brown with martingale and 1 black to match imminent saddle arrivals....
What spoilt ponies!

I have 2 saddles. An Albion dressage, and an Albion K2 jumping saddle. 2 bridles, a simple flash for dressage, and a Mexican grackle for jumping. Used to just change the noseband (as use the same bit) but got fed up facing between dressage and jumping, so got a second bridle :)

smurf has 3 - he has an albion dressage saddle (brown) and a albion gp saddle ( brown) and a very old flat as a pancake showing saddle (black and brown) which i only use in the ring. my other horse who died recently only had a dressage saddle tho... As for bridles- i buy bridles like other women buy hand bags i wouldnt like to count them.
