How many small bales?

Does anyone know how many of the small straw bales are in one of the giant straw bales? Trying to work out which of my offers is better value!

Difficult to say as bales vary so much in size and weight but the huge bales generally work out much better value - same with hay or haylage.

Yeh I thought that but iv manged to get small bales at £2 rather than the usual £3.50. That means 20 bales for £40 obviously and large bales are £25 but dont know how this equates?

Do you mean the big square ones or round one. We converted a big round bale into small bales last weekend & it turned into 11 small bales.

But it depends on lots of variables like how tightly you string the bales.

there are generally between 10-12 square bales to one round bale.
