How many steps do you do on your horse?

Does anyone else have a step counting device that they put in their pocket when riding? I have a watch that I put in my pocket and it registers somewhere between 4 and 6 thousand steps during my morning hack (3/4 to 1 hour).

I always wonder how much that would vary between horses/type of exercise etc. So does anyone else have a step count for their ride?

4034 steps in 41 minutes on a 15 hand heavyweight cob, walk and trot hack.

About 6k for an hours hacking (pony only 14.2hh )

Am very annoyed that on my fitbit if I log the time the calories burnt are only about 130 in a hour. And it doesn't cancel the steps off my total :rolleyes3: I keep it on as has heart rate monitor too

I use the pacer app I put it on gentle cycling for riding that switches off the step counter .

My phone (in hip pocket) used to log approx 40k steps on a 14 mile ride. It wasn't the most accurate!
