Usually twice a day, either to change his rugs in winter, or fly spray in summer. Occasionally I won't go up in the morning if he doesn't need his rug changed, but I just end up worrying that something is wrong with him that I'll miss
I don't during the week as I'm away. Hubby and daughter go once a day and stay for a couple of hours, summer and winter. If they're in then it's twice a day, but once is only a quick one to check there is enough hay and water and skip out (and hugs and carrots lol).
I really need to get a life! At least twice a day in summer and at the minute at least 3 times - 5.45 morning jobs, just after lunch to get in, then between 6 and 7 for evening jobs. I either ride when I get them in, or go back after DD has got on the bus to school. Some evenings DD rides straight after school which adds another visit - luckily they are only a couple of miles away..........YO does a late check too
This is so interesting and has made me feel normal again!
I am on a yard with 8 others. Of this four of us go up at least twice a day (normally more) whilst the others go up once a day for time that ranges from time to give a feed to 3/4 hours. There isn't any correlation between whether horses are out or in.
I have to go up, I'd worry myself sick if I didn't even in the summer when they're out. I just get the feeling that because we do, they think don't have to bother.
Once a day. Im on assisted DIY so my mare gets turned out in the morning for me and then I go after work and bring in/muckout/ride etc. Am thinking about going before work to ride and turnout since its dark after work now.
Only once a day. During the week I go up after work at about 7pm and at weekends I do the mornings.
I was doing both ends of the day when I first got my TB but I was ending up so exhausted from early mornings and late nights and everything suffered because of it.
However, if I have a day off work I easily spend the whole day at the yard!
