Twice a year, my horse gets very sharp edges at the back of her mouth, if its left any more than 6 months, it is a big deal.

When ever he tells me they want looking at again, usually every 6 months but this could be less with a youngster etc
or I'll have him out if I've got any concerns, only lives round the corner so very handy

For my main riding mare its every 6 months as she gets sharp edges at the back of her mouth. For the rest its every 12 months unless dentist says he wants to see them sooner

EDT comes out every 6 months to our yard (and inbetween if any horses need specific major work) - with my old mare, she would be checked every 6 months, but only needed work once a year.

Thanks everyone. Couldnt decide whether I should put my name down for the dentist or not. Some people on my yard see the dentist once a year and other every 6 months. I will put my name down

My EDT recommended every 10 months to me. Current horse needs sedated for dental work so i'll be waiting the full 10 months unless he seems uncomfortable as I don't fancy paying for a callout and sedation for a check!

The dentist comes up to yard twice a year, but usually my horse only gets done once a year as thats all he needs

He is checked though when the dentist comes up the 2nd time
