How many times do you see your horse?

usually twice a day but sometimes it's just once if i know hubby has already been to farm to collect tools from the lock-up, he always checks that all still have 4 legs and a head each;) For a while i was real anal about checking on them as i had a horse break her leg in the field overnight and felt so guilty that i'd had a lie in that morning and not got there until 10am:( now though i do realise that i could check them 10 times a day and something could still happen the minute i turn my back so i have to be sensible about it:o

At least twice a day sometimes 3. I would feel terrible if something happened after I'd seen him in the morning and didn't go back till the next day. Also field owner rings if he see's any problems.:)

I have three at home who are checked properly at least twice a day, but I can keep an eye on them out of the window all of the time. My other two are on part livery at a livery yard and are checked every morning by the staff but I always go up at least once everyday to check them myself.

My horses are checked twice a day every day, either mum, I or both check before work and we both go to the yard after work.

Everyday, twice a day morning and night if I'm busy in the day but otherwise like at weekends I'll stay there all day from 10 til 6.

2 of mine are turned out 24/7 So i go down about 9 and give breakfast. i go back at 2ish and poo pick then i go down about 7 and feed again.
My other one is at a different yard so I bring him in at 8 ride about 12 and then go back and turnout about 5 ish

This is only because i have no job at present! too mch time on hands!

i only go up to the yard 6 times at the most.. all of you guys make me feel bad!! :o:eek: i couldnt possibly go up more than once a day on those days though. i go up and either go and get him or just groom him for an hour or so :D then the work begins :p

Proper checked by me twice a day when going out and on coming in.
Also ridden every day except her day off. looked over throughout the day by my mate who shares the fields with me and the other liverys, we're lucky to look out for each others horses.
We have a good lot on our yard, any probs are picked up fairly quickly and if its something you need to be aware of, the phone will go

At least twice a day - sometimes three times. In summer I go down before work and take off/change rugs as they are out 24/7 and then after work go back to feed/ride/poo pick etc.
In winter it is usually three times and has been known to be four times, especially in bad weather when they're in more as I sometimes do a late night visit as well.....

Far to many times..

When I open the shutters on the bedroom window, Harley is stood there as his paddock is under my bedroom window, yes sounds lovely, but he sounds like a herd of elephants when hes walking up and down at night..

and... when I walk out the back door.. as Ive got mine all at home, ( 7 of them) ive got a little patio then down a few steps to a larger graveled area, and they are on the other side of the wall,
oh... I can watch them too, when im lay in the pool... bliss....

well this is Spain... ;-)
