how many times have you tried AI before successful pregnancy (in the same year)?

year before last, ai'd 2 and took first time chilled, ai'd 3 last year 2 took first time gave up on other after 3rd attemp, have 4 to ai this year, will see what it brings!
 
I use frozen mostly, but I do use fresh semen too from time to time. All of the mares here usually take first time on their 30 day heat post foaling. I had one mare who just would not catch with fresh semen which I'd used successfully on another 3 mares (and they all took on their 30 day heat) so it was the end of June and we were getting late into the breeding season so I decided to breed her frozen with some less than great semen (but fabulous stallion!) I had in my nitrogen tank and blow me down, 16 days later there was the blob! I've never had any trouble with my other mares taking first time and a couple have been bred on just half a dose of frozen and taken.

I did fresh two years ago and she took on the second go.
TBH i think the reason she didnt take on the first go was because we did her too early and if we had watched her cycle before AI we would have waited for a bigger folical.
