Well the boy is now trying to rub his off on the water trough in his paddock, and keeps tipping the whole thing over, this morning leaving a nice dent in it. But he hasn't got it off so far, as it's tied onto a headcollar ;) - and the good news is that he's losing weight !!

He's in his starvation paddock (with a bit of hay) during the day, but it's not stopped him clearing 3"6 from a standstill  to get to the paddock next door.

Poor thing looks like darth vadar tho at night. Any other ways to get a mask off ? I won't tell him tho :p sm x

Mines in with a field mate who often helps her with the removal of her muzzle...

Little tinkers they are :D :D

blimey, I don't think he's thought of that yet... or if he has, he's not getting much co-operation !

i'm sincerely hoping that he doesn't rub his feathers with it either. Urgh, he should be growing upwards not outwards..

When I moved yards I thought I was onto a winner as all electric fencing.. nowhere to rub his muzzle off! Wrong! Like your guy he used the trough and successfully got it off... he also likes to use my other horse to help him get him off. His other trick was to rub it along the floor until it came off his nose and was hanging under his chin or half on half off his nose!

I'd given up on the muzzle idea and did put him in a starvation paddock on his own, until he decided that he wanted to be with my other horse and more grass and jumped into his field, I kept putting him back into his field but next morning he'd have jumped back in. I've given up!!

Aha........well if the muzzle wasn't tied to the headcollar it'd be a matter of minutes - get out, whinny to everyone, have a poo, then rub his nose on the ground, free at last, and start scoffing.

Since I'm tying it on with baler twine, it's all getting too much for him - instead of prancing about in the morning, he's straight over to me to get The Thing removed. Must take some piccies of him and put them on - he even blows out of it like darth vadar :D

Mine rubs it on the ground, on trees, on the fence, his legs, anything really. But he can't get rid of it because I plait his mane over the headpiece. Ha!

Mine is a good girl and keeps hers on now, last year she took it off everyday this year she doesnt even try wish the shetland would be the same cant keep it on her for more than 5 mins!
