how many years have you been around horses?

I admire all of you for sticking it out for so long. To the person who says only 3-it's not the hours you've put in, its what you've put into the hours. No offence meant to anyone. I've been around horses on and off for around 50 years but would no way consider myself an expert.

According to my calculator, and I have missed a few out I know, that is around the 1865 YEAR mark between just a few of us.

:eek:

It's very hard to calculate in my case. :o

From 1970 to 1977 I was around horses, with gaps for being hospital and recovery. :( In 1977 I became critically ill and had to rehome my lad and give up all contact with horses. :(:(

For about 33 years.. :eek::eek:

Now I've been back among horses for just over 3 years. Gradually at first, but as a horse owner again for two years. :D:D

41 years no breaks. Thought about packing up 2 years ago but it did not seem to happen and there are 7 horses wandering about at present.

About 45 yrs with a 10yr break, solid for the last 20 though, and when im ready to give ip, my grand kids can have ponies and i'll hopefully still be involved for the rest of my days

39 years, but with a 6 year break whilst kids were little and we lived overseas. Still rode occasionally during that time though.

I dont think it matters what you are into, the more you learn, it seems the more there is to know... the world is a strange place :)

26 years in total, but that includes breaks.

Without breaks it would be 22. During the breaks though I had contact with horses through friends and always kept the interest.
