Well, not me actually but Belle. you'll have to ignore the yellow splodges on her face, she spent a night rubbing all her hair off.. Completely netted now. This is 3 weeks on. Lice have gone now and her skin and coat are so much better too.
She is out almost 24/7 now, she comes in for a few hours when my gelding goes out so that he can't get to attack her and we sent a worm count off and it was sky high so we womred her without consequence. The difference is amazing! My dad worked out the other day that she lost 18stone in 2 years!!
I'll put before and after shots for each pic

Oh wow, she's made such an improvement in such a short space of time. I don't know her story but well done! She's definately filling out.

Thanks everyone, I am absolutely made up with her progress. She is out with my young mare now and I think the companionship will make a big difference to her as she had started to seem desperate to interact but I didn't want her in with others until she was a bit stronger.
She is such a tough old lady to have been able to keep battling on through it all, the fact that my grass is like horsey lard helps too. my well horses only have to blink at it and they are obese!! Onwards and upwards

I'll try not to post weekly updates anymore but I am so proud of her I had to share

No do post, don't stop, she looks much better and I'm sure she feels better as well. Well done to you and all helpers, and the best for the future.

I know (my dad calls it my bad smell face as I look like I have a bad smell under my nose!), I was horrified and everytime I looked closer I found something more disturbing. It's amazing what state people let animals get into and in this case I am pretty sure they had no idea why we were so horrified.. which is even more frightening!

I so know how you feel, it is the same in some of the rural yards here in Spain, and my face is exactly the same as yours, still my OH loves my rubber face, he says I can't hide any emotions at all.
So one bonus.

WOW what a fantastic job you are doing and what a lucky mare to get some tlc at last. How awful for her to have gotton into that state in the first place.
