Went to see a 12yr old 14h fell pony today. She was broken in this spring having been a brood mare and pretty much broken in by chucking ride on and hacking out, nothing bad just o openly admits not schooled. Not been anywhere or done anything really.
She was very sweet and I think had potential, am looking for something to play with while my highland grows up.
I can have her on lvtb for the winter.
Problem is she wasn't advertised with a price, was on another forum.
O now says that she wants to agree a price of 1800 to buy her in the spring if I buy her.
personally I think that's a bit steep given her age and experience
Your views?
Obv being able to have her on loan for a few months is a bonus

It's really tricky, hate offending people. She was very difficult to pin down to a price before I tried the pony. Have looked though and can get younger version for 900-1200 with same level of experience, or even a stunning show mare advertised for 1850.
Maybe I will printout some adverts and show her
To be fair, had she been advertised at 1800 wouldn't have gone view

I feel that £ 1800 is way to much £ 800 is more like it. Would be great to have on LWVTB. I have bought a lovely cob that way , the owner was happy that her horse was sold to the right home and I had a chance to really try the horse out . Worked very well. If i was spending £ 1800 i would expect to get a youngster who had done a little bit ,or a more experienced older horse.
