Hi

I am going to advertise a free space for a livery, private home, we only have 1 other horse at the moment, plenty of grazing, an outdoor school, queit hacking, my house is 50 yards from stables - i would like an adult livery, no kids or dogs!

To include hay, (maybe shavings)

Can turnout in morning OR bring in on night,

livery to muck out own horse etc

What would you think the going rate per week is?

Based in North Yorkshire...

thanks :)

well i was on a part livery at a private yard in syork and paid 53 a week but that included hay and yo mucking out so i just had to put bed down. horse had its own field.
in summer she poo picked once a day did water n suncream ect

i now pay 70 a week on private yard which is ace!!!
includes everything and has a nice outdoor school

hope this helps

I used to be on part-livery which included haylage, bedding, hard feed, turnout and bring in, including rug changes, quiet hacking, and a 60 x 20 floodlit rubber school - I paid £45 for it, although I think it's gone up to £50 now. For what you are offering, I would pay £35 if it included haylage and bedding - £40 if it included hard feed and £50 if it included turnout AND bring in - wouldn't pay any more, sorry!

I'm on the border of North Yorks and Teesside, the going rate round here just for DIY is between £10 and £20 a week. For your facilities you'd be looking at £15 ish I would think. And then maybe £50 a month for ad lib hay?

We have 2 on a yard where it is £110 a month inc hay/haylage and straw. It includes indoor, 2 outdoors and miles of off road hacking. It drops to £18a week when they are out 24/7 in the summer. We have 3 on another yard thats £18 a week for the same facilities, plus ad lib hay/haylage at £9 a week or you can buy HUGE bales for £30, ad lib straw is £4 a week.

We are just about to move all of them to a yard that is £130 a month inc ad lib haylage and straw. Unlimited turnout, off road hacking etc and school just going down now. Its slightly more than the 'going rate' but we can all of them together and there will only be one other livery so we are happy to pay a slight premium.

None of the above inc turnout or bring in, but it gives you an idea of prices in the area :)

I do this and have similiar facilities, and charge £25 basic per week plus haylage, asuming you make your own or can buy it in cheap. I then charge a small amount each day to t/o or b/i on top.

I was at someones house, it was just me and the yard/house owner. I paid £100 a month and she would turn out for me Mon-Fri. I had to buy all my own hay/straw and would muck out. We had no school though.
