FOr a second hand saddle...

Obviously it's how long is a piece of string but I am about to ring a couple of saddlers in the area as my saddle no longer fits. Unfortunatley due to returning back to college and a hefty vets bill I have a very limited budget. £300 including fitting. Apparently local saddle fitter charges £50 call out which is possibly waivered if a saddle is bought but I am unsure if this is correct. If not then I only have £250!!
Am I likely to get anything for this sort of money? I could part ex my old saddle but to be honest it's not worth much (Thorowgood older t4 type none adjustable)
Shall I be honest about my budget straight up or just tell him I have a small budget and see what he brings?
What have you all got second hand and how much did you pay?

Oh and if anyone can reccomend a fitter in the Durham area I would be grateful. Was thinking of jobsons?

I got mine for £300 fitted. I think that is about standard for a non-branded second hand saddle but I could be wrong! I would be completely upfront about your budget, there is no point in paying a call out fee to see a load of saddles that are all outside of your price range! Good Luck :)
