Just quick question:

How much (a week) would you charge someone for looking after their horse 7 days a week - putting out, bringing in, mucking out, hay, feed and water? Not as in livery, but just for doing those jobs.

Thanks

If it was a real pain to do, and you were trying to discourage it I would be charging £10. If it's not a hassle and I had the time, likely less. It does nearly amount to full livery and what are the rates for that around you?

£5 for doing the jobs (skipping out, water, bring in) I tend to make up feeds and nets so really its about 30-40 mins work.

See its so no hassle to do the horse, she's on my yard and comes and goes with mine anyway. I feel bad accepting payment, but on the other hand I'm not a mug!! I have no idea what full livery would be around here, but livery is generally cheapish.

I should add, its not technically payment, but a reduction in my livery charge.

Wow, £10 an hour - thats a decent wage (if you work enough hours)! Realistically I probably spend about half an hoor a day doing her (it takes about an hour and a half to do both of them)
