I know how much everyone loves these, but i'm completely stuck and dont know what to do...
i brought a reg'd stunning NF pony from the NF sales in may 07, he was easy to break in at first, then the more work he did, the harder he found it, he started to get nervy abiut being ridden and bucked a lot. had him checked by chirophractor whick didnt appear to work.
i then turned him out for the winter, and in june had his back checked and treated by weaver house clinic (osteopaths).
within 2 weeks he was doing walk, trot and canter with me and an 11yo girl.
all my liveries have ridden him now and he as been super.
he even went to caddington show on the weekend and jumped in the WHP clear round. will put pic on
but... he is still a little bit cold backed for the frist few minutes.
should i sell him as ridden pony, hack, potential PC???
he's 7yo now, and 13.2 Blackwell bloodlines.
completely stuck, but must sell him as i might be going to NZ this winter.
any suggestions welcomed.

Hi hun, how are you doing, he really has come into himself this year. He is looking really good. I'm no good with pony prices but the others on here I am sure will be able to help you with what you should be looking to sell him for and as.

I agree with about £2000. I have a similar pony to yours, fully registered, branded and very fashionable NF breeding. She has never had any bucking issues. She is 8yo and has done all pc activities, is flawless in traffic, and a real child friendly pony. I advertised her for £2250 including tack, and have only had a few calls so far, which led to one trial, and so far nothing further.

I have a 6yr old forester who I bought as a green 5 yr and paid £3k green but very nice bloodlines and done well in hand at breed show as a youngster no bucking problems though and a bit bigger at 14h so I would say about 2k if he is cold backed - presume you have had his saddle checked to make sure it is a good fit.
