My 21 year old gelding has low grade bi lateral hock arthritis. He is currently on a veterinary joint supplement and gets a herbal mix which contains Devils Claw, he also gets NAF Devils Relief. The insurance pays for the joint supplement but runs out next week, and at £80 per tub I am looking to find a replacement. I have been recommended Premierflex Plus which has comparative levels of the main ingredients to his current supplement but also has added Devils Claw.

Can you give too much? Apart from the Devils Relief, I have no idea of how much there is in the other products.

I was told by vet at the age of your horse it is past supplement time, that needs to have been given during the horses active life from an early age, as arthritis is degenerative you can only make the horse comfortable so D&H devils claw fed at 20ml a day has kept my cob sound for 3 years he is now on nothing at all and is still sound, and a 1kg used to last me nearly 2 months at £16, not bad.
