No this isn't an ad so please don't tell me off!

I have a 2007 Rice Beaufort that I am thinking of selling. Immaculate condition, recent service with the tack pack on the front. I can't find anything similar on the t'interweb so I just wondered what sort of price I should be looking for?

I love it but the new horse hates it so am thinking of getting rid to go back to an Equitrek. Although less than chuffed seeing as the one I used to have used to fall apart all the time.... Grrrrr...

I have no idea about the newer ones, but we bought our ancient Beaufort for next to nothing. I think it was about £700, and in a bit of a state cosmetically (needed repainting, still does actually as I haven't got round to it yet :p ) but our horses love it! Unfortunately my youngster is getting too big for it now :( as his ears brush the ceiling when he puts his head up. He's going to make about 17hh I think - do Rice do trailers for 17hh+ ?? Would happily have another, but it needs to have about 6 inches more headroom! (Have looked into Ifor 510s but they are the same internal height, just longer than the 505s, which are essentially the same dimensions as the Beaufort!) Bluddy horse, couldn't have stopped growning when he hit 16hh like a good boy, now could he? :p

I would think you would be looking at around 1/2 the new price but coming into winter a lot of people will be cutting back on travel so you may have a slightly restricted market at the moment
Laura-C see if you can find a B60 as thats higher and is built for big horses.

Mine is ancient and I bought it off friend when I bought their disco. Paid 800 for it but it needed ramp spring done and some panel work ... I intend to advertise it for 750 - it tows perfectly with good mats and floor etc. I have seen good condition ones of the beau forts advertised for 1800. Try preloved and gumtree

Eeek - £1800??? It cost £6.5K new!!! May be I need to rethink my plan... Its the bigger Beaufort with 7'6" headroom (so 2 x 17.2hh). Does that make a difference to the price? I was thinking of marketing it at the same price as an Ifor of similar age?

Then let's assume I am very very wrong!!! I only ever see ancient ones selling!! Sorry for panicking you! A 2007 good condition large Ifor would be £4.5 k I'd say

I have a very ancient rice trailer that would fit 2 x 17hh mw hunter types in it. Bought it from someone local cheaply. Spent rather a lot on it since I have had it - its been repainted twice, totally new electrics, new tyres, new rods for the brakes, brake pads relined, new floor, new wood on the ramp, new metal work on the ramp. But it's all mine, and will last me as long as I will need a trailer.
