after looking at another post it got me wondering what everyone pays for livery, im sure this has all been done before lol!!!

im in the scottish borders:

through the summer (amazing fields/stable/hay) 10 per week per horse so 40 per month for each horse

through winter (fields/stable/hay/straw) 30 per week so 120 per month for each horse

we have great hacking but no school but have free use of all the land to ride on

what do u pay?? and for what??

I pay £22 a week year round for, amazing stableing, a fabulous school, year round quality turn out, and an amazing community of people all with knowledge of difrent things.

In winter i add about 25 per month for hayleage and about 25 a month for straw.

I pay £100 a month for a stable field and use of school, also get 10% the nearby tack shop which is handy.

At college i pay £40 a week so £160 a month for stable, field, hay, straw and use of school and fields around the farm to hack on

I pay £10 each week for Roo, regardless of whether it is summer or winter, but all we get is a field, stable and tack room. We don't have an arena and the hacking isn't great, too many roads. We have to get our own straw, hay etc and the yard owner has nothing to do with the yard so we have to sort our own problems out.
However, its fab, I wouldn't move no matter what. Theres only 6 people on our yard, not much bitchiness and everyone is friendly. I love our yard, great for £10.

Once upton a time when I had a silly amount of horses I decided to rent a farm with my friend, we took on a few liveries aswell but I used to pay £440 per month for 7 stables and 7 acres. We then took on a further 10 acres and that cost us an extra £80pm, and then the farmer has a menage built and added on another £140pm so altogether it came to £580pm.

Nowadays with just having two horses I just rent a 5 acre field with a big field shelter (fits 3 horses) - no menage though, for £15pw per horse. The field is also harrowed for me every so often which is nice!

Ok sorry to sound thick but i have been looking into grass livery etc for when i next get a horse. I've found some really cheap ones which is great, however where the hell do people ride? What if there's no where great to hack etc nearby? I understand maybe there's a field or something next door that maybe people ride in, but what about the winter time? it would be too muddy/slippery etc surely?
I just dont see how people manage without an all-weather school

£650 a month for my horse.

Outdoor 40x60m, Indoor 17x40m (both harrowed & rolled twice daily), lunge pen, covered horsewalker, hot & cold wash down bays, solarium, heated rug room, all year turnout, 220 acres to ride around.

£17 a week for my pony, she lives out 24/7/365.

-In my field there is a reasonably flat area which is electric fence off to ride in, although at the back of my field there is another 2 fields that the farmer lets me ride in which are also quite flat but they are being cut for hay at the minute so I nip over the road to my friends field to ride...but I do miss the menage

There happens to be a riding school down the road but its an outdoor menage and its £10ph

I guess if you can make do then it's great as it is so cheap and really cuts down the cost of owning one. I like you, would miss the menage.
The yard where my share horse is kept hire out their yard for £10ph too, which is really expensive, if you rode in it 3 times a week that's £30, may as well move to the bloody yard lol.

I pay £115 pw

This is part livery and includes everything apart from riding - indoor 20 x 40 and outdoor 30 x 60 with thousands of acres of Cirencester park. We also have a full set of BSJA showjumps which are in a field in the summer and can be used in the schools during the winter.

£65 a week for part livery, everything done Monday - Friday and turned out weekends, beautiful private yard only 1 other livery with good hacking, outdoor 60x20, very good grazing and quality hay included, I pay extra for shavings though.

I think my owners pay £30/week for DIY, massive stables in an american barn, indoor and outdoor schools, professionally built XC course on site, miles of off road hacking through fields, well maintained fields, heated tack room, straw and hay included

It is the most amazing yard I've ever seen, it's gorgeous!!

Own yard costs us £300 a month between 3 of us DIY, we have a school that after much debating between myself and OH was measured at the weekend as almost 20x40m (woohoo!! i thought it was smaller, so lost the bet but can now put dressage markers out!!) So £25 per week, we have to sort all hay etc, grazing is ok, but we've only been there since oct so still lots of work to do, doc leaves to get rid of and harrowing to sort.
cant beat the peace and quiet tho! glad we're there altho i'd prefer it to be cheaper, as we do our own maintenance.

I pay £20 per week per horse. We have a menage and good hacking nearby, there are only 4 horses on the yard (3 that me and my friend own/loan) and 1 other person

Thats more than my mortgage too!
I pay nothing to keep my two on a small farm where my OH does all the ground maintainance. We also buy the grass to make hay and store it there, which we sell. There is always plenty of good grass, cross grazed with cattle and sheep and regularly rested. There is no school, but there are 3 within a 10-15 minuet hack and the hacking is fantastic.

£100 for stable per month with all year gazing indoor and outdoor arena, 10mins from the beach and £40 in summer/ £50 in winter for grass livery, haylage in twice a week in winter.

£110 per month for DIY including straw. Also individual TO if required and use of covered horsewalker, 20x40 manege thats just been resurfaced with a lovely surface. The hacking is excellent - lots of off road tracks, UKC course a 15 minute drive away.

Also, we have an arrangement that if someone goes away or can't do their horse for any reason, the whole yard organises it bewteen them to take care of said horse for no charge. Works really well and means I don't have to pay extra if we go away

Hay is grown on site and I pay £1.50 a bale - good quality hay

Wow some people seem to have some good deals on their livery!
I pay £150 a month for stable, field -includes unlimited use of indoor and outdoor menage, inc prof showjumps/water jumps etc.

Mine is about to go up to £165 a month for 4 acres, 7 stables, 3 tack rooms (we had to have an extra two built ourselves) plus my sister pays another £80 on top of that. We keep our six horses on their (my 5 and my sisters mare). Thats very cheap for around her, the water is free to the yard (ie not on a metre) and we have security. If my grazing needs a break I put them on my friends place for free a couple of months a year.

i genuinely could afford to keep my horse s if i had to pay such high livery costs, but i suppose its worth it if your on full livery. i've always been DIY

£25 per week for stable, grazing, hay. £15 per week for grazing. New start-up place, there's planning in the pipeline for a school, but I don't know the size. A nice YM. Excellent hacking I believe (just as soon as ned has new shoes and my arm is working, we'll go explore!).

i pay £16 pound a week for a 2 acre field of my own 1 stable yard and tack room but no running water or school but lovely hacking. my other horse stops out 24/7 in her own 3 arce field and shelter!
