How much do you actually walk your dogs?

Mine gets approx 45-1hr twice a day, in the morning and late afternoon. Also gets 20 mins at lunchtime if we are home in the week, plus toilet breaks.

At the weekend, always out in the morning for at least an hour - length of afternoon walk will depend on how long morning one was.

He copes fine with this - would defo be up for more but I wouldn't want to give him any less!

Tassy used to get more but has really slowed down over the last 3 months or so :( (she is nearly 9 though and a big dog) But she gets 30min before I go to wor which is mainly off lead and the dog walker comes for 30min mid day but only walks them for 10-15 min of that as she's mainly employed to do a wee break. PM after work either OH will take her running for 30 min or I will do a 40 min play in the fields usually covering about 3/4km a day. Weekends usually one big walk a day maybe 2hours tops- she cant really handle any longer these days. :(

Purdey has 2 x 1hr walks a day, one at 6 - 7am and one about 5 - 6pm. All off-lead.
At the weekends she will have more when we go out with my mum and her lab.
I can't imagine letting her have any less exercise! She would climb the walls.

I never walk mine...

Well that's because i don't have any of my own though, i can't really call them 'ours' anymore since I moved out of the parents house! However, they get walked 20 mins early morning, a 20 min or so wander in the field behind the house at lunch and then generally a longer walk in the afternoon/early evening. They often may have a longer walk on a weekend afternoon. The younger dog (5) will also maybe go down to the stables at some points in the day but the older dog (14) has his routine and he doesn't 'do' the stables unless he says! Lol

He does love the summer walks where they include going down to the rivers though so he can have a dip and swim across chasing geese an swans (that's when his deafness/selective hearing REALLY kicks in!!! Lol)

Katielou your dogs are beautiful - what are they?

Our two (12.5 year old whippet x GSD and 8 year old foxhound x Dalmatian) are out in the stables and our 4 acres with me in the morning. They go anywhere I go in the car, and then in the afternoon they get about an hour's 'proper' walk with OH or me. I have rubbish knees so only do about a mile myself, but it's all open country down the valley and the foxhound is often half a mile away, burning off his energy. Fortunately he's a gem with stock. The old lady, like me, takes it easy. then they're out in the stables with me at feeding time, and then keeping the Aga or a sofa warm for the evening. They've both got nice figures and I don't starve them, so guess the exercise must be about right.

Mine get 2x45mins walk a day morn & afternoon and now the clocks have changed a quickie 20mins at 6ish.

They do get free run of the garden and have done their best to make sure I dont have any flowers. The also get some training about once a day outside or indoors if its raining.

When the longer evenings are here will also get the occasional walk as well.

Evie has about 20 minutes round the fields in the morning, quicker run in field again at lunchtime, then around an hour/hour and a half walk in the afternoon, then 20 mins in the field again in the evening. Plus a bit of tracking or other training some days.
Buffy who is a bit old and doddery, just potters round the garden at her leisure, and I take her in the field a couple of times a day.
