Wondered how you decide on what to charge a sharer. Do you divide up livery exactly by seven days a week and then charge them according to how many days they ride a horse? What about shoes and other extras? And what about if horse is out of work - do you still charge?
Of course it depends on how expensive yard is. Cheaper ones you can be more generous. My current share is to the exact penny percentage of the days I ride. And it is expensive.
Fair enough, I suppose, I get to ride a nice horse, except it's not my horse - in that I can't decide anything about him whatsoever, he is still the owner's horse. She is great and we get on well, but I still wonder what others are doing. Please let me know!
