I don't have a horse on livery but posting everything in caps is insanely irritating. 98% of posts on here get replys, theres no need to try and get attention. Plus caps are considered shouting.
I guess it depends on which part of the country you are in - we pay £110 pm for DIY and then there are 'extras' on top - 50p for feed/turnout/rug changing.
Now at different yard on full livery but up until just before Christmas was at a nearby yard on assisted DIY which cost £160 per month. This consisted of morning feed/hay handed out and turn out (2 or 3 times per week in winter dependant on weather) and use of floodlit school.
I pay £28 a week (for assisted livery - on top of stable & grazing), for feed am, rug change, t/o, muckout, bring in, pick out feet & change rugs.
Feed is given with all the others am, and YO charges £2 to turnout & bring in, and £2 to muck out.
132 per month for box rent and giving feeds 3x a day. Everything else on top for £8 per day - give or take. Is within the M25 though so probably a lot more than anywhere else ;(
£125/month for stable and haylage, plus turnout and bring in included, but £1 for rug change. They will also put a net in for them when they come in if you leave one ready.
At the moment my mum pays £160 a month for it. That is for turnout (include rug change if needed), feeding in the morning, putting a haynet up and putting in water depending on when they go out (on restricted grazing). When i was living over the other side of surrey and at a lovely competition yard it was £182 a month for the same service but the facilities were much better!
We are moving to a diy yard and thats £100 every 4 weeks but for £2.50 a day she will feed and turnout.
i pay £25 a week for stable, £17.50 for unlimited haylage and then pay for my straw on top of that as i use it. arena is free, altho lights work on a 50p meter and then other jobs (turn out, skip out etc) are on top- think most 'jobs' range in price from £1-£3
its all very confusing as i have 3 horses at the moment so i have no idea what everything is costing me!
We have assisted DIY available at our yard. Basically you just pay your normal DIY bill & then pay the groom for whatever she's done for you that week. She has a menu of fees depending on what you want done i.e. muck out, turnout, bring in, clip, etc.(her fees are too low IMHO)
Our DIY is stable & grazing, secure tack room, rug room, large storage area in barn for hay/bedding etc, large floodlit arena with quality surface, free lorry/trtailer parking & good security with cctv. We provide our own feed, hay, bedding. This is £20 p.w. & the YO is a really nice person who will consider any improvement that benefits the horses (She isn't horsey)
Hay
Two bales of bedding (Meggazorb or Shavings)
Huge Loddon box
Bring in and rug change
will turn out too but I do that!
Will feed if you leave it made up
Super all year/weather turn out
Xcountry course
Show jumps
Outdoor all weather school
off roack hacking as we are on a country estate
I pay £50 per week for stable & grazing, plus 5 days livery, inc. feeding, muck-out, in, out, rug changes, field poo-picked, etc. There's all year round turnout and horses can stay out 24/7 for 6 months+ if you wish (but my 'fatties' come in every day).
I don't get charged any extra for the occassional weekend (when on holiday), or holding for farrier/vet.
Also have free use of large outdoor menage with flood lights, off-road farm riding, etc.
I pay separately for hay and bedding (£3 hay and £1.50 for straw - carrots, haylage, shavings available too - all delivered to the stable), and provide my own feeds (although yard will supply certain brands if required).
I prep my own haynets and bag-up my feeds to help keep my costs down, plus I then know how much my horse is getting so it's easier to manage feeding against workload/weight.
There's a horsewalker (small charge) - oh and the yard is adults only ... heaven!
