I'm on the Leics/Lincs border and pay £30 for a large round bale of Haylage and £40 for hay. I have to go and collect them from about 25 mins away but if i could store more than 3 at home they would deliver in bulk.
Good thing is if i get a poor quality haylage, when i go back next time they will give me a free one to replace the bad one.
Pay £40 for large bale haylage. Usually use 1 bale for 6 in a normal week, but when we have lots of snow, its closer to 2. Have used much less this winter than last
Large round bale of hay £25 which we collect and does 2 horses and one pony two weeks, only fed in stables at night as we have haylage in the fields that YO supplies at a cost of £15 per round bale, which is paid on a rota system with other liveries that share the same field. This usually means that we pay for three bales of haylage per month.
In Berkshire we r selling large bale ryegrass Haylage (250-300kg) for £30 collected, and small round bale Haylage (30kg) for £6.50 collected. This is cheap in our area, if u want delivered it is more ££££. Not sure on hay prices round here.
