How much do you pay for livery?

I pay £30 a week for DIY and that includes turnout and bring in Mon-Fri. And I do think its a good price especially compared to other yards in our area.

We have all year round grazing, a floodlit menage, good hacking and a small x country course mainly built by us liveries, but its great.

I've been there 15 years and love the place, dont think i'll ever leave lol! :D
 
Yes, very good value.

I am on DIY and £24 a week includes:
Stable
Own Tackroom
All year turnout
Use of school
All fields are swept regularly
Hay and bedding is charged seperately at end of month but YO deliveres to your tackroom twice weekly if ordered. So no heavy lifting for me :D
 
I'm a yard owner and only do part livery for which I chrge £99 per week (£93 if you do your own muckout weekends).

For that, my clients get top quality haylage that I have to buy in, megazorb bedding with rubber matting, branded feed, muck out, turnout/bring in 375 days a year (all weather turnout in bad weather). Out 24/7 in summer, rug changes, leg washing, hoof picking, late night checks and forage 5 times a day. Free parking for trailers and boxes. Floodlit 60m x 25m arena. I think it represents excellent value for money to the extent that I actually made a small loss last year.

Blimey Wagtail - that is good. There was a thread on here last week re - how do YO's make any money and I really dont know. I live 5 mile from my yard and am DIY - £30 pays for stable field use of school tack room. All services and bedding feed etc are extra - this sounds about right to me. A week inc my diesel I added it up to about £122 (based on winter where I need more services), so how you are doing it for £99 I dont know:) You have some very lucky liveries:D

That includes pretty much everything, other than someone else riding him.

Stable with rubber matting.
Turn out all year in paddocks with rubber matting in gateways, automatic water troughs, safety electric tape and post fencing. Usually turned out with 1 other horse.
Use of flood lit 20x60 sand and rubber arena and jumps.
Access straight onto bridlepath and hacking around field boundaries with a few small cross country jumps.
All shavings, hard feed (but no suppliments), good quality adlib hay.
Turn out, bring in, hooves picked, legs washed, rugs on, rugs off, feeding.
Use of solarium (for the horses - not us!)
Secure tack room.
24hr supervision.
Free trailer parking.
Staff will get horse in for farrier, vet, dentist and make all appointments if necessary. (We try to share callouts so often book in with the riding school ponies.)
Staff will let you know if your horse isn't quite their normal selves/ any worries/ etc.
Free lance riding instructors are welcome at no additional charge.
Loads of lovely people to hack out with, go to shows, ask for advice.
Only 1.5 miles from my house driving , and I can walk up the bridlepath if I want to.

Great value for money. Fees have not gone up in since I arrived over 18 months ago. I expect they will do soon, but I wouldn't complain as its a lovely place, great YO so I'd rather pay a bit more to help them keep the business going!

I could never afford facilities like I have there and really appreciate the amount of work and time they all put in. I know my horse is well looked after and happy, and that's the most important thing! ;)

That IS good. Do they grow their own hay? The haylage bill is the killer for us with each horse costing around £25 a week for that alone. What bedding do they use?

I have found the yards that grow their own hay and use straw can afford to charge less.
 
Charges for purely DIY are £45 per week depending on individual needs and £75 per week full livery.

includes:
Stable, good quality haylage, winter turnout, 24x7 summer turnout, bedding, 40 x 20m floodlite all weather menage, morning feeds,water topped up, night feeds put in, extra water, haylage checked on late night checks, tack room, brew area, drying area, separate fields for laminitic ponies and good doers, large open fields, all well drained, free trailer and lorry parking, security lights everywhere, owners lives on site, first aider, health and safety approved.
 
WAGTAIL - They managed to grow SOME of their own hay last summer, but not the summer before as it was too wet, so went off in big black bales for cattle feed. But they do have to buy in probably about 65% (a guess - so possibly more?) of their hay. All bedding is shavings so that is bought in. No straw. In total they have 50 acres, but I'd say only 10 acres is used to make hay, the rest is paddocks.

Part of the business is a small riding school, but they don't do huge numbers of lessons (only 10/12 school ponies (I can't quite remember!) that at most get used 1 - 1.5hrs a day, and they don't get used every day by any means. (Quite an easy riding school life if you ask me!) (£16 per 30 min lesson I think.) There are about 6 liveries, 2 staff horses (they do pay something but not sure how much) and YO horse. So not a massive yard by any means.

I am on DIY livery and pay £150 a month. This includes stable, indoor turnout, grazing (poo picked by machine), haylage (or steamed hay depending on what your horse needs), straw and winter get-ins from the field. We have a floodlit menage but have to pay £1.50 for half an hour or £3.00 an hour to hire it. We also have an onsite tack shop and free tea and coffee making facilities.
 
We charge £7 a day for DIY which includes giving feed and hay in the morning, rugs changed, turnout, bringing in and handling for farrier, use of facilities (2 large arenas, jumping paddock, xc course etc) and lorry/trailer parking.

Stabled livery is £21 a day which includes all bedding (not restricted), hay, haylage, feed, mucking out, changing rugs, turning out, bringing in, walker once daily, handling for farrier/vet/physio, parking for lorry/trailer and use of facilities.

This is Surrey and we are nearly always full with a waiting list.

I pay £20 pw for grass livery including all forage (ie as much hay/hayledge/grass as you want) with free use of school and scholling paddok with jumps. I love it :) So glad I found it. And also YO is lovely and has been massively helpful as horse is having a lot of vets visits at the moment so she's been lending me a stable and setting up extension cords and stuff for the vets to use for xrays and nerve blocks :)
