Queenbee's thread about how much it cost for turnout/bring in really got me thinking, I was quite shocked how much it costs some people per day.

So the question is, how much do you pay for livery weekly?
Weather your on Part or Full.

My horse is on Part Livery.
Rent - £23 per week.
with this I pay £6 a week for unlimited straw.
His morning feed is put in free.
Rug change (stable rug to turnout rug) - 50p per rug change.
Turn out & Bring in - £1 per day.

So a week it costs me £39.50
£10.50 of that is for part livery.

My horse is stabled in Manchester.
The yard also has a huge 30 x 55 outdoor floodlit rubber school which is ideal for the rainy weather and it never floods!

Very interested to see how much it comes to for other people on the forum.

Crikey!
I have a pony on retirement grass livery, £15 a week for the field.
I think it's cheaper up in the North.

Cheshire/North Wales border.

I get:

-Unlimited hay or haylage provided (good quality stuff too!)
-Bedding £4 a bale, 1 bale per week
-Morning rug change and turnout
-Bring in if not down in time
-Fed morning and eve at same time to avoid disruption
-Biiiig all weather arena, lights
-Jumping field in summer
-On sight YO
-Lovely atmosphere
-Regular clinics held with fab instructors (only Dressage though, no jumping ones, boooo)
-YO willing to chuck haynet in when asked, check over if been poorly, will do an extra rug change
-Okay-ish hacking

For £45 a week :) So basically, part livery.

I'm on a private yard and look after a stallion and a pony (both very easy to do) and get free livery.

Before I started looking after them was £20pw.
About average for here, but a big bonus was the fact that there is only myself a friend and the owner. No b***** remarks like at some liveries, and no crazy people (most yards have one) :)

So wouldn't change it for anything.

Also he can live in or out in large well draining paddocks. And large stables too.

I pay 20pw.

YO feeds and hays horse in the morning at 6am everyday. He will turn out if stuck for no extra cost.

There is a small arena capable of doing the odd jumps and flat work.
We do have to buy are own hay and bedding.

Feild rent is 15pw you may aswell pay the extra 5a for the stable incase lol!

Nothing for livery, pure DIY on land owned by friends. We just do each other favours :)

Only thing is though there is no-one around inbetween times but so far no issues over the years :)

55 per week in oxon/bucks boarders
My horse gets fed every morning and turnt out monday to friday,
Hays included but not bedding
Outdoor menege with umps & lights and very small indoor plus a few big open fields with some small XC fences.

Hay and hard feed
Bedding
Mucking out and skipping out as required
Flick-over groom and feet picked out for rug changes when being put to bed.
Liaison with vet/physio/farrier (on site) as required
Payment of third parties recharged on monthly invoice, simplifying routine payments.
Use of Solarium lamp.
Individual/Group Turnout
Martin Collins 30x40 soon to be 30x60 arena with lights
Jump field in summer
Ok hacking
£115 per week

ours is 190 pcm for DIY so nothing is included. We have a small outdoor floodlit school and jumping field in the summer. And the yard is outskirts of London/Surrey area.

I pay £165 a month on DIYfor mine which includes two indoors, own paddock and has great hacking. No hay or bedding included but boyfriend is a farmer so all free. Not really anyone I could get to turn out for me on site so I turn out at 7:30 (to be in work for 8) and friend brings him in for me.
Previous place was £173 a month with small indoor, hacking and hay included, someone on site to turn out etc at £2.50 a go just to go literally outside the stable!

Grass livery for 2, with stables if needed and storage- £20 per week.

Large stable, lovely school with floodlights, individual ( but tiny) paddock- summer and winter, off road hacking, free trailer parking, personal locker- £150 per month.
£20 for adlib straw per month
Services if required e.g t/out of bring in £1.50.
I feel this is quite expensive, but because of the school and hacking, I'm able to keep my horse working during the winter so I'm going to sit tight.
I'm in Essex

£25 a week for DIY - have stable, paddock, outdoor arena, full set of jump wings and poles, secure tack room, storage for hay and shavings, awesome hacking - YO lives on site.

DIY Livery

£72pm
Lorry Parking £5pm
Hay £3
Straw £2

24/7 365 herd turnout, good off road hacking, tiny (rubbish surface) floodlit sand school, jumping field in summer with some basic jumps

But nice people, ok storage - hay and straw grown onsite and plentiful, near to Addington, Bury Farm, MKEC etc. On Intelligent Worming scheme, owners on site and quite secure.

No services offered, totally DIY and working farm, its basic but we are happy. Can hire huge rubber school at another part/full yard down the lane too.

I'm not there because its cheap - I'm there 'cos it suits my mare. I'd love a better school, but I love the lack of rules - never had to keep in, whatever the weather.

I currently pay £65 livery, £30 haylage, £15 straw and about £30 for turnout etc a month. This is for great turnout and a small, uneven outdoor school. I'm seriously considering moving yards to go on full livery. Its £87 a week but that's everything apart from grooming and exercise. Plus 2 indoor schools,.one outdoor, x country course, loads of in house comps and clinics plus instructors on site.

£32 per week DIY for stable and good grazing all year. We also have 2 outdoor floodlit schools (but one the surface is terrible and hardly used), 100 acres off road hacking all year with a few cross country jumps, grass jumping paddock, secure tack room, tea room, toilet, CCTV and alarms and people living on site. No poo picking:p

Extras are available daily ( staff on site) full day is £8. We also have to buy bedding and hay from yard so pay a bit above the going rate, but I don't mind this as its very convenient. We just write it on the board and it will be delivered to the hay room (where we all have our own spot) next morning and added to our bill.

Having been looking at alternatives of late I have come to realise how lucky I am at my current yard

Hi there sorry new to site. Can you tell me where in Windsor there might be diy grass livery? Also new to area! Not sure how to private message you. Thanks

Do not come down south!! £650 a month part livery, feed, bedding etc included. Outdoor manège, turnout. There are other stables in this area, Herts, with CCTV camera in stables and lots of other gizmos that cost £1,200 a month. Some owners have two/three horses there. Some people, sadly not me, have way too much money. I make do with a share.

Blooming heck! That's more than double what I pay for three horses including unlimited year round turnout with over two hundred acres to choose from, hay and hayledge included as well as stable with water and electric. Livery is diy on farm with no school but farmer is good as gold and let's me ride in any empty field and will bring in if needed. My five sheep and three chickens are also welcome at no cost other than a small chip in for wormers etc and letting farmer laugh his socks off when I have a go at shearing!

I pay £68 per week for everything except grooming and riding.

If you assume £28 for basic livery per week, perhaps £7.50 per week for feed and the same for bedding, and perhaps £15 per week for haylage (in at night all year round) I reckon I'm only paying £10 a week for turnout/ bring in, mucking out seven days a week, rug changes, trailer parking, holding for farrier, vet etc, medical care (cold hosing, poulticing, etc) as required ...

If you do the sums, part livery is often an extremely good deal in comparison to DIY once you add up all the costs plus fuel.

200 per month for the rent of my yard 3 stables, hay store, bedding store just under 4 acres plus a small paddock to ride on inc electric & water

I pay for hay, haylege, bedding, feed & all my yard repairs, muck heap removal etc

I can now afford to keep 3 rather than 1 on livery. Very lucky :)

I pay 34 a week for DIY livery (and that gives me adlib hay in my field for winter). In summer they live out 24/7. In winter I spend about £16 a week on hay and straw. Turn out or bring in is £1.50 each way, full cover is £6 using my hay and straw. Now double everything because I have two horses! I also pay £6 a week to have my own field. Yard has three indoor schools, outdoor school, XC course and horsewalker and very good hacking - we're in Leeds.

£ 98 per week part £ 46 DIY

1 shavings
hay (not ad lib)
indoor school
outdoor school
lots gizmos
CCTV
extras available on request
free trailer parking
ex grazing well maintained
P&R
jumps (courses in field summer)
24hr security
lovely yard we all help each other in crisis
storage for equipment
grass dressage arena summer
coffee /tea
good hacking
etc

Brace yourselves northerners!!

The yard I'm on is average for the Surrey Hills:

Grass livery - hay included, dit care. £275pcm
Assisted DIY - stable, hay included, either bring in or turn out with rug change on week days £330
Part livery - stable, bedding, feed, hay, rug changes, muck out, turn out and bring in £510
Full livery - as part with grooming and exercise x 5 £660

Facilities include large rubber flood lit school with jumps, tie up posts, tea/coffee in the hay barn, toilet facilities. Amazing hacking.

I've moved from part to grass and at almost 30yrs of age am still at home, partly due to the horse but rent is also phenomenal, for a 1 bed flat I'm looking at £700 plus bills minimum!

£60 per month per horse.
Include own field, stable, hay, straw.
DIY.

We have a small school to work in. Behind the stables is lovely big hills and the YO keeps the grass topped so we have tracks. There are a couple of little XC fences up there too.

£200 pcm DIY livery (small allowance of hay included)
Bucks/Berks border

Herd turnout (good quality grazing but overstocked), no bedding, services, feeding included etc
Floodlit school, walker and average hacking
Limited storage and slightly tatty stables
