i know this post has been done before over and over but im going to do it again!

so how much do you pay weekly or monthly and what services to you get for your money? whats included and how it suits you :)

i'm on assisted DIY at the mo but at last yard it was £72 per week for part livery. horses were turned out and brought in, stable mucked out, one bag of shaving per week and haylage one net included every night, two feeds included but not supplements. Owners has to muck out at weekend and xmas and new year.

We're on 'full' livery - technically it's classed as part tho. (well kinda...but thats a long story. lol) We pay £60 a week (£240 per month). That includes stable and turn out, mucking out, rug changes, ad-lib hay and straw (and they're v.good at putting more in...they're not stingy on bedding to save money) and they turn out and fetch in. They'll also feed if you leave instructions, but we have to provide hard feed, groom and exercise.

In comparison our part-diy is £40 (£160 per month) and is pretty much same except they don't provide bedding (but can be bought for £2 per bale of good quality straw) or mucking out (but can be done for minimum of £3 per horse per day depending on when you ask, goes up £1-ish after 12, then again after 3.) they're v.good at tailoring it to your needs....i.e for the people who have kids or can't make it up certain days they'll automatically muck out then if needed.

Also they're good at organising for the farrier (he comes every week) if you leave a note on the white board, and dentist etc when they're needed.
