How much do you pay for shoes?

£65 for the one who has an ordinary set, £70 for the one who has wedges in front. Stud holes included. £40 for fonts only, £20 for a trim. Farrier won't charge to relace a lost shoe. South Wales.

ETA - this is relatively cheap for the area. I have friends who pay £90 for an ordinary set.

Grr. Typed a long reply then lost It!
From the top of my head it's split out roughly £80 for the shoeing then £8 for road nails, £10 for call out and then VAT on top. She does have natural balance shoes with a rolled edge (I can't remember the proper name for them) but he would charge the same for regular shoes.
Whilst I can afford it I'm loathed to change farriers as he does both a good job and is easy to deal with (on time, always shows up, books in for the next time there and then, gives a printed invoice to pay by BACS and so on) Im sure there are others out there too who are good and reliable but as she's had more than her share of lameness issues I don't want to chance rocking the boat.
It's Jack Holder Spriggs from Total Foot Protection over in Sussex.

£82 for full set (new shoes or re-used)
£55 for front shoes and back trim
£35 for trim

Central Scotland.

There are cheaper farriers in our area but this guy is great and has really helped my mare with very poor feet - after shoeing yesterday he announced that her feet are now perfect! Yeay!

Crikey, he's got a very similar name to mine!
But now you've broken it down, the cost is understandable and comparable to others who also pay callout, extra nails etc

£75 for a full set
£50 for fronts and trim hinds
£25 for trim front and hind

North Oxfordshire.

Excellent farrier who does vet remedial work

How many pairs of Louboutins should I own? Answers on a postcard (don't include a stamp as I really don't want to know!)
