How much do you pay for Turn out/Bring in

I was also wondering how I should charge a livery for this "service"
The problem I have is that I can't justify £1.00 for opening a gate from yard to field!!!
 
I pay £10 a week, this is for am duties, but no rug change, strictly bring in or turn out depending on time of year. However now it is winter YO will put feed in before turnout in the morning for him at this cost.
 
Rug change (1 off 1 on) - 50p
Turn Out and Bring In - £1 (Or if you just want turnout or bring in on it's own it's 50p)

Not bad I think.

Ours is £3 turn out, £3.50 catch in. I'm not sure if rugs/feet are charged. :confused: A lovely livery who comes up early pops in feeds if they're outside the boxes. :)

I must say, if you need your horse caught in because you just can't get up, I think it's disgraceful not to do their feet. What if there's a nail or some knacking big stone in there and the horse bruises its sole? :eek: I'd call that negligence, frankly.

A lady at my last yard charged £2 to catch in, do feet, wash legs if necessary, change rugs and put in feeds, even in summer when the horses could be in the furthest field. I loved her!

I'm in North Herts. I wouldn't mind so much if it included at least feet picked out (not so fussed about rugs), but it's a lot of money and doesn't even give me a night off when I want one! Also no consistency with brining in times which I don't like - could be 10/11 am, another day could be 4pm!

LOL! I know what you mean from past yards! Im really lucky now, YO is a early morning freak... most days he is out by 6.30 bless him :D
 
Morning turnout and rug change are included in the livery (they all get turned out in a routine so it avoids any upset). If you want them left in you can write it on the board, YO also chucks a haynet in.

Bring in is about 4.30 and if you're not up by then they're brought in, to avoid trashed fields, and also for the routine again. Supposed to be up as only on part livery, so I do try!

In eve rug isn't changed or feet picked out. Haynet is chucked in (if left outside.) However can text lovely YO and she'll change rugs. They're all fed at same time by first one up in morning, and at half 5 unless specified otherwise.

Absolutely fab YO, can't fault her for anything!
 
Nothing!! Have a wonderful YO who turns out wkday and wkends and brings in wkdays and wkends if your not about or another livery will help we all muck in to help each other.
Feeds are all done at same time to avoid upset, like t/o and b/i they all do this together.
 
My old yard was £1 turn out and £1.50 bring in. Didn't include rugs or feet picked. That was an extra £1. New yard nothing, we all help eachother out. I had a night out last weekend and knew I wouldn't be able to get up early, so arranged for a fellow livery to turn out, she is out tonight, so tomorrow morning I am turning hers out.

11am or 4pm, what the heck?! Mad!

I'm very fortunate that a bloke at the yard asked if I would catch in for him and he turns out or puts in hay mornings for me and there's a girl for whom I do favours and she can do mine occasionally. Tricky if I can't get up as I need her to get in mine and the mare, but can be done.
