Just wondering really.

Sent my med weight turnout to be washed/reproofed and the bill came to £22, which I thought seemed a lot?

it's around £10 for a wash & £20 for wash and reproof around here - more if the rug has a neck cover on :(

If it fits in the washing machine I do my own, and if it won't but doesn't need a reproof I'll generally do it with the hose so only those that need a reproof go to the cleaners - cheaper to buy clean second hand and sell them on cleaned by the hose method at the end of the season otherwise ;)

I also inherited a sewing maching so I replace buckles & do patches etc myself if the rug isn't too big for the machine by keeping the fabric from rugs that have been destroyed by the playful one too!

Round here it's £12.50 for a wash, £19.50 for was and reproof and if it has a neck cover its £22.50. Pretty expensive really! Going to be trying to find another company

wash £7

reproof £5

for a neck add £1

the place i use collects and returns, also gives £1 per rug discount on 10+ rugs

the only downside is there is a 2wk turn around
