I am working out how much I spend and need to feel better about it cos it is far too much.
Speedi beet £10
chaff (happyhoof) £10
hardfeed (saracen releve and oat and barley free)£20
Oil £15
vit and selenium £8
(epsm horse so special diet)
a xx

have you tried alfa oil for your shivers horsey? boy i used to have got that and a little less oil as he wouldnt eat oily feeds! dont know if its any cheaper than your happy hoof or would last longer, might save you a little on the oil though!

She just has Happy Hoof and that lasts me about 2 months, longer in the sumer. I have a mussive tub of Equivite that cost me £45 but is lasting months so good value. D is really cheap to feed

For a 16.1hh SJ, a 16.3hh in foal mare, a 13.2hh retired pony and a little donkey I use per month;

2 bags of Copra Meal - £24
4 bags of Competition Mix - £28
20 bags of carrots - £10

Also approx 7 large bales of haylage at £105

For my 17hh Veteran;
Top Spec Senior £38 (lasts a month)
16+ mix £8
Chaff £9

plus carrots,apples and polos so about £50 - £60 a month but Top Spec worth every penny!

For my 4 I am approx £200 per month (3 of them are youngsters and take some feeding to meake sure they get all they need to grow) This doesn't include supplements (I use Cortaflex and Probiotics, Garlic and respirator)

I'll swap my feed bill with any of you!!

£0.00....just don't need it hack for 2-3 hours with 1/2-3/4 schooling 3-4 times a week....very fit for age however does get mineral lick and a Dengie lick during Octo-Dec to perk her up a bit

We pay - Mollichop - £5 (lasts 3wks for 2horses and a foal) DH competition mix - £8 Ride and relax - £9 Spillers stud and youngstock mix - £8 Shreds - £5 Bran - £7 Build up cubes - £9 and carrots £1.50.

Hmm, approx £14 on topsepc, £9 on a bag of Hifi and prob about £15 on Baileys endurance mix (bag and a half a month)

SO not alot really! He does get a bit of ALfa Beet too, but since I have only brought one bag this winter, it is negligible really

Apples and garlic for the Appy, so minimal cost
Speedibeet, apples and Garlic for the big girl (two small handsful per day so the bag lasts a long time)
Alfa-a, Old Faithful special blend, garlic, flexijoint for the 14:3 retired lady, so she is the most expensive of the lot
