My Jack Russell is 1 yr old. I dont know if its just me but she seems to poo loads. She gets fed once a day, has the odd treat but not really anything else. Sometimes on a walk she will poo 3 times!

Its not usually a problem but she has started getting up in the night wanting to go out for a poo. It happens most nights, she gets me up, i let her out she has a quick poo and comes back in. I wouldnt mind but i'm getting fed up of getting up in the night! I dont know how to stop her as i cant exactly tell her off for asking to go out. She goes out just before we go to bed so its not like she hasnt had chance.

For example last night she went out at 10 and had a wee and a poo, then got me up at 12.20 for a poo, than again at 5.20!

Any ideas!?!!??

She has buscuits (not crap ones - decent ones but cant remember name!) and a small amount of meat mixed in at about 6 o clock. We are going to try feeding her earlier to see if that helps

Definitely a good idea to swap her meal to the morning. Are her faeces firm or a bit loose. If they are a bit loose it could be that she may be a bit sensitive to what you are feeding. We found our dog does best on either James Wellbeloved or Burns food. Obviously, if they are a bit 'loose' then they will want to poo more often!

They always seem to be normal not loose just firm as normal. They dont seem to alter much. I think we should prob try feeding james wellbeloved aswell as i have heard it is very good.

We had a jack russel that was a bit of a poo machine. We put it down to senting his patch, after changing food etc. He would strain like mad out on a walk to do anything, even if he were empty.

Our dog gets fed once in the morning with Dry Food and once in the evening with Dry and Dog Gravey.

She goes once in the morning and once in the evening.

My dog get's fed at 6.30am once she has been on her morning walk, and around 6.30pm in the evening.
If you are feeding her after 8.00pm then it takes a few hours for the food to reach there tummy's so it might be worth taking her food up after 6.30pm, and then let her out just before you go to bed.

Hope this helps
