How much does a standard bale of hay weigh?

Having unloaded about 150 at the weekend, my answer is: A LOT!!

Sorry, can't be more help - would guess 15kg?

Totally depends on how the machinery was set up that produced it Im afraid!

I reckon 15 to 20 kgs but some can be as little as 8 or 10 if very dry and lightly packed.

I know that the average slice weighs about 3pounds if that is any help. So say 12 slices to a bale, thats 36pounds, which is just over 16kg.

So guess 15-20kg is about right.

50 to 55 bales per tonne, so between 18 and 20 kg per bale.
