Took kitten to the vets yesterday as she "wasn't right". Felt I was being a neurotic owner but she actually had a temperature of 105 so glad I went. Cost 22 for the consultation and £6 for an anti-inflammatory injection. She is a lot happier today so consider it money well spent.
The vet nearest to my house is £25 but if I travel 10 miles to the one near work it is £16 for a dog. Likewise for my hamsters it is £25 near me but £8.50 for the one near work! So I tend to use the one nearest to work, I just can't understand how there can be such a difference in price considering where I work is classed as a posh area compared to where I live!
about £20 but i only have a small jack russell my friend has a rottie and is at a different vets and it costs him £35 only 5 miles between vets shocking.
remember not all vets have the same standards. we are a Tier 3 Hospital Practice so our prices are a bit higher than some local practices - we have to have extra equipment and a general higher standard than the Tier 1 and 2 practices.
The consult fee is $80 but our vet is widely regarded as one of the best in NYC. He has helped us out on more than one occasion when we've gone to a more local vet and things have gone drastically wrong.
Consultation fee at our vets is £25.96. I tried another vets who only had a £12 fee, but the service wasn't half as good. I'd rather pay extra and know my animals are in good hands.
We charge £26.20 for a consultation, but we are near London and we have very high over heads,we have specialist equipment and services unlike some of the other vets around our way.
