my friend is thinking of moving to the netherlands from the UK but wants to take her horse with her..how much would it cost roughly? she's had quotes of 13k but surely this isn't right?! :o
if anyone has any suggestions of companies to use i'd be really grateful if you could mention them so i could pass them onto her.. this isn't an easy decision and has taken a lot of thinking x

13K, Crikey, I could fly at least 2 horses to North America for that!!!!

Chavhorse on here is in NL and has recently shipped a horse back to the UK, she would have a pretty good idea of current costings I would think.

13k?! That's insane. You are looking at anything from £300 to about £1k absolutely max :)

ETA my lovely boy cost less than £2k and was an import from Belgium - and the dealer must have still made a profit ;)

Contact either Peden or John Parker, they routinely move horses all over the world. £13,000 is insane, I could ship a horse to Australia for that!

We are having our Haflinger brought over from Alicante (Spain) to Oxfordshire on Wednesday and that is costing 700 pounds, plus the vet check for the health certificate and routine vaccinations etc. We are using LOC who have been very helpful. John Parker also quoted the same.
