I spoke too soon. Dropped her off and then vet rang an hour later to say Mabel is likely having a false pregnancy and is producing milk! So spay delayed for another month.
I’m 99% sure she isn’t pregnant...
Sorry for you, what an extra hassle with having it postponed. I presume that if she actually was so far into a real pregnancy that she have began to produce milk, the veterinarian most likely would've been able to tell you that they think can feel some puppies/that she's actually pregnant, instead of telling you that they think she's having a false pregnancy.
Oh well, this means that your calves/lower legs have gotten one months reprieve before they're getting bruised from having the edge of the Cone of shame getting shoved into them. Or are you planning to use one of the other post surgery options?
