how much does your farrier charge?

£25 - quite a lot I think. £70 shoes and road nails.
It is always quite expensive around here though and he is a good farrier.

£30.

I think he normally charges £24, but my horse has quite a deep, seated fear of farriers and we are treating the whole process as educational, which means that obviously he takes much longer than an average horse.

Having said that, he's worth every penny!

i was just wondering as im positive last time my farrier only charged me £5 she was a complete cow and he only managed to get 3 feet done, this time she was a star (3 months of intensive practice) stood perfectly still and was done in about 10 mins and he charged me £15

My farrier very often trims 2 of mine for nothing when he has shod my mare. I think the most he has ever charged me is £14 for the 2 but thats when the youngster was messing about and it took ages.....

Wow should I feel ripped off, £25 each so £50 for two - in Hampshire. He always asks what did I charge you last time...so somehow I think he has a sliding scale...and he openly says he doesn't think much of my horse...but then he does come out to just me.

I used to have fronts shod and backs trimmed and full trim for other all for £50 in Cheshire.
