After last year's failed feral rescue (he's snoring on the heated floor in our living room) I'm adopting 2 more. Likely mother & daughter they've come from a feral group where breeding had got out of control. The rescue don't want to release them back now they're neutered etc because the location is unsafe so I'm taking 2

No charge but they want a donation - no idea what's reasonable. Any idea?

How long have the rescue had them? Maybe 2 x spay cost plus boarding? But ultimately you’re giving them a safe home do whatever is comfortable to you.

I'm not sure. They're a dog rescue who have been dragged into this cat situation as no one else had capacity. They put out a call to try and get homes urgently.

Hmmm I'll have a think.

Regular donations mean a lot more to charities than a one off, so if you were to set up a regular donation of even £5 a month it will go further!

I got the cats and the pony for free at point of adoption, but I have paid them off in installments 😂 (the cats would have been £70 each though, to answer your actual question)

Our local rescue has just had to put adoption fees up to £100 (spayed, vaccinated etc) as their vet bills had gone up so much.

I am sure anything will be appreciated. I ‘over’ donated for both my dogs but I could afford to, but I know they need everything they can get! I paid it directly off their outstanding vets bill..!

FB_IMG_1763727307864.jpgthis was taken at the cattery as they're now hiding in my pen at the yard not talking to me! They are VERY feral - i was relieved they were caught for me. The ginger girl in particular was properly feisty.

Decided to go for £150. On the steep side but they are undertaking a massive rescue, neuter & rehome so that can be this year's xmas donation.

Hopefully they'll settle & stay around but even if they take off once they're released it'll be farmland so a much nicer environment

Definitely your Xmas good deed :)

Well food was eaten overnight and litter trays used but otherwise its hard to know if they're there. I took Benny's old tower to the yard and they're both hiding in the cubby hole - at least I hope they are because all I could see this morning was one little white ear!
