So, for all the owners of fetch-addicted dogs out there, how long does your dog play fetch for on a daily basis?

I'm just wondering to check that I'm not overdoing it with Stella. Now that the weather is cooler she loves to chase her ball for an hour every day--and when I mean fetch, I mean she doesn't take a break. If she had her way she would do it until she dropped in a heap! We also go for walks, sometimes jogs, and agility class once a week. Is this amount of activity okay on her joints? Should I add some glucosamine to her diet, maybe?

Min would keep going until her legs fell off! If i take her toy she grabs a stone which has worn down her teeth and she just pesters anyone to play fetch if we stop. The vet said she will stop when she has had enough and not to worry about it but i do give her naf superflex, same as the horse just a lot less! the Vet said i could if I wanted but he wasnt convinced it would make any difference.

Thanks! Maybe I'll give her a supplement, just to be on the safe side. Honestly, it can be 85 degrees out (as it was in the video) and Stella will keep on going until her tongue is about a foot long. Now that we're down to 60 degrees, my arm tires much quicker than those little hamhock legs do

Either give her a joint supplement like Cortaflex or NAF superflex, or (check what she gets fed already) make sure her feed has glucosamine added. Many dog manufacturers are adding glucosamine to their foods as a matter of course.

Prevention is better than cure!

Just had a check and it's not in the ingredient list, so I'll be sure to pick some up tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.

Mine loves to play fetch too!

I give my dog Canine Cortaflex just to be on the safe side.

I try to limit it to about 30 minutes of fetch a day.
