I went shopping with a friend today for a showing halter for her Quarter Horse, she got a bargain, had a free lead thrown in too, saved over $70!

But paid $339 (that is, I think, in the region of 150 pounds, not including our tax which is added on afterwards) for something like this.......

The jury is still out on my verdict on these halters, my English sense of 'less is more' has had a real shock since coming here. I hate to say it though, it looked rather good on Zeus too:(

wow!!! dont think i'd pay that much but i absolutely love it!!!! can imagine my lads in one, they'd be talk of the show!!!!!

i like it-very flashy. price really depends on the quality of the leather and whether the detailing will stay together and not fall off or apart. if it is very well made with years of use in it then i suppose i mwould pay around £80-100

The quality of the leather and stitching is excellent, it's the silver that I think looks a bit tacky,I obviously have no sense of adventure. But there you go, if you show Paints or Quarter horses to a higher level that's what they have to wear.

I guess it's designed to complement sometimes plainish heads, just as the arab show halters are designed to suit the arabs, and I wince at the price of some of those too!

I think that's really really erm... not attractive at all! I like a bit of bling and pink but that's not my thing at ALL. However, if your friend is going to show her horse in it and it's really good quality, then it might be worth it...
I wouldn't pay that much for a headcollar though.
