how much for a pony these days?

My neighbour has got someone interested in her pony, its a 12.2hh dalesx conn mare (8yo). Jumps and would be a second pony but she has no idea what to ask money wise. I only know about horse prices so this is new to me. Tried a search but nothing really came up that was the same (this pony hasnt PC'd or been out and about..).

Any advice?

I brought a pony at auction very similiar to this pony, except she was 13.1hh. I got £2000 for mine but this was 6 months ago. She was a second pony, forward going, Jumped well, but did go to 2 local shows. I would ask around £2000, or more including tack, and remember you can always take offers. Prices for horses and ponies have gone up quite a lot though.

My friend has just sold her 12.2hh 6 year old reg sec B for £1700(inc tack etc). Pony has done sj, xc, pc and camp.
This one would probably be worth about £1200.

£1500 Id say. Depends how well it jumps (ie. done well competition wise?) or if it has any vices / handling issues etc. etc. All these things determine value.
