How much for a warmblood foal?

It depends how it is bred, it's quality, how good the dam line is etc.
Are you looking for a top competitor or something to have fun on?

I am asking 4200 for mine...too little, but that's the market. He is black though so I am not touting for business :)

I highly recommend Camrose Stud and Amour G has some lovely youngsters about. In Scotland there is Rachan Stud..and if you are willing to look at some beautifully bred and coloured Criollo youngsters see Chamfron Stud. Good luck..in this market you could unfortunately get one for considerably less money.

Mines out of a local stallion (not overly well know), before he got kicked in the hock (had an on going hock injury afterwards) he was doing low level local dressage and jumping however his sire is sammartini the grand prix stallion?

The dam was supposedly 4* graded back in Poland.. nothing major in her breeding - or though someone with more knowledge may disagree.. all of the offspring bred so far seem to be successful in the show ring/out competing alongside having a fantastic temperament..

Mine is bay and i paid around the £1k mark, however his full brother who is a very smart skewbald is for sale at £2200 i believe (or though potentially already sold). They had some lovely homozygous youngsters born '12 which were £1800/2000k .. all really nice, straight and correct with impressive movement.

The sire was never really proven and the mares aren't at all (i don't think), some have better breeding then others (or like my chaps dam is graded) but i have to say, (as i did above) all the offspring are successful and my chap is the easiest youngster i've ever had..

So i guess what i am saying is, it really depends on what and where you are looking :).. My chaps the best £1k i've ever spent, i am SO pleased with him.

:)

Their income meets the threshold

This may not be true, you can volunteer to be VAT registered before reaching the VAT income threshold. It does mean that you can claim VAT back on livery, stud fees etc but then it does amen that any horses sold will have VAT payable

I sold the only coloured foal I have bred for £4000 and she was very flashy.
I would think you should be able to get something nice for that budget.
