How much for full livery?

Just wondering what people are paying for full livery per week atm? :confused:

Currently looking for a new yard and it's between 3. Just wondering if I'm getting ripped off or not :D

The favourite on by far has:

1 large indoor cushion track surface about 30 x 60
3 outdoors, all weather, 2 are 20 x 60 and the other is 70 x 45
3 full sets of showjumps and arena eveting jumps
XC course, 3 different heights
Stables
Individual turn out (group if everyone's okay with that) Nice big, flat fields with shelters
Feeds included
Rugs changed, turned out brought in etc

Seems like a lovely yard and not toooo expensive....? Just wondering what people are paying at the moment

If this is including muck out, groom etc as you would expect then you don't get that for less that 120-130 a week round our way which is Bedforshire.
 
Well, I'd go for it if you can afford it - oh to have an indoor school! I pay £88 pw, plus bedding, hay and hard feed. In winter, that usually comes to between £520 - £550 a month. About £410 in summer. Huge amounts of turn out in large, well managed and well fenced fields, not too big (13 horses) and very experienced, reliable and hardworking staff. Basic sand school with floodlights, goodish hacking, nice friendly owners, very little turnover. This is in N. Kent, about 30 miles from Central London.

Based on 14hh pony £230 per month. For that I get:

Someone on site 24/7, CCTV.
Turnout/turn in, rug change, hold for farrier/vet/some basic first aid (poutice/apply lotions and potions and give wormer), feed, muck out inc. in price - you can do these yourself if you chose to. Also, owner will arrange for someone to exercise if needed - no charge.
Two schools (third available at owners other yard - 10 mins hack)
Horse walker
Group Turnout (Geldings only) - Haylege November to March (youngsters grass paddock can be used if horse has mud fever)
Group Turnout (Geldings only) - Grass March to November
Own Large Brick stable - with space to hang rugs
Shared Locked (passkey entry) Tack Room - locked after 8pm
Hours 8am to 8pm - before or after I can go, but need to borrow a stable in a different block (boyo's block is locked at night) and clear up after him but need to store tack/rugs in the car.
It's also a riding school so you can join the escorted hacks and the jump clinics/gymkanhas etc.
Oh and superb hacking in the country park - 25 seconds walk out of the yard. :D:D

Exclusions/extra costs: Insurance, Farrier (cheaper as it's a big yard and he does about ten horses once a week), tube of wormer (same person provides it to all on yard so again cheaper), Clip (ditto), riding lessons (choice of instructors) - and finally you can borrow a riding school horse (at hack rate) if yours is out of action or you have a friend wanting to ride with you. :D
 
I charge £650pcm for full livery. That includes a straw bed (shavings or paper £15 per week extra), ad lib hay or haylage, minimum 10 hrs daily turnout in large, well maintained fields in small groups (24/7 in summer if necessary), all hard feed bar supplements, daily tack cleaning, grooming, all daily care of the horse (mucking out etc.), clipping, pulling and trimming, plaiting up for competing/hunting, use of brand new Martin Collins 50m x 30m arena with jumps, 60m x 40m jumping paddock, 10,000 acres of off-road hacking, and horse exercised six days a week.
 
In Essex, I know one yard charges £120 a week, feed, turn out, bring in, rug, feed, muck out, feed and hay included. Has limited hacking, outdoor floodlit school, but doesn't include exercise. A nicer yard in the same county charges £600 a month and only has nicer hacking and stables!

I'm moving to Kent and found a yard that does full livery at £90 a week, includes all the above but better hacking, indoor and outdoor school and they will also groom but doesn't include exercise.
 
I pay 95 per week. Full livery plus 3 days week exercise. Lovely yard + indoor school. I gave Bern on DIY for 20 years didn't think I would like being on full but my mare forced me to move as I needed help schooling, omg I love it !

He won't be getting ridden though, but that's my choice! :p
 
I get an amazingly good deal for full livery ....

A massive brand new built last year indoor school with a compete set of brand new plastic show jumps, fillers, water tray etc,
A decent sized outdoor school (not a great surface, only really useable in summer to be honest)
A huge grass jumping paddock for summer use also with a full set of weather proof show jumps,
A small XC course including a small water complex,
Fantastic off road hacking straight off the yard,
Brand new built for me stable in American barn style complex,
Daily feeding, muck out, turn out, rug changes, holding for vet/farrier, all hay/bedding, year round turnout in small groups with excellent grazing,
Exercising if I want it,
Very generous room for storage.

All for only £100 a week. It just goes to show how much prices vary depending on where in the country you are. We are in Scotland but even so for the facilities and standard of care this is very cheap. We really landed on our feet finding this yard, although it is an hour round trip from our home it's worth it. We were at a yard previously where it was a similar price but the standard of care was appalling. They only mucked out three days a week even though the horses were on straw, so not deep littered. There was no turnout, absolutely none. I got desperate and bussed it (45 minute journey each way and costing a fortune) to turn my horse out overnight because he was bouncing off the walls and becoming unrideable. But I got a lecture because my bus was late one morning and I couldn't bring him in until 8am. They wouldn't just grab him for me and chuck him in his box! There was no storage so I had to store rugs and tack in the car, not great when you use your car for business and could really do with it not smelling of horses haha! The whole place was badly organised, not enough staff and very cliquey. I'm so glad I got the hell out of there!

Really shop around. You can often bargain prices down somewhat. Be very careful with full livery that you know the whole story of what they offer. Don't be caught out like me with a lack of mucking out/turnout .... We had a really bad year stuck there. Get to know the staff and the way the yard works. When you can't be there everyday and you rely on full livery to allow you to own horses it's really important to have peace of mind that they are in good hands.

thats is really good!!

part livery which is turnout muckout bring in/skipout on in days and feeds/given on my yard is £390 a month then you have to buy all your hay shavings feed ontop...luckilly im only DIY so much cheeper
 
I pay £350 a month for 5 day livery (they do everything) and turn out / bring in every day. I pay for shavings, hay and feed on top. This is for a lovely yard with fab staff, nice turnout in pairs, outdoor and indoor school

Just about the same round here (NW Surrey) is approx £200 pw, with usually less turnout. Plaiting/clipping is also usually an extra.
 
I am in Yorkshire full around here is around £70 a week with no grooming or exercise on a nice yard with good facilities but not top notch

Oh wow! Now that's what you call a good service! Oh how I'd love grooming to be part of my full livery service (I have an absolute mud monster who is grey...well bay actually ;)

I pay £370 for 5 day full livery that includes everything, weekends is DIY. I'm based in the South East.

I pay £100 per week. That is for turning out/bringing in, rugs changed, mucking out and hay. There is an indoor school for us to use there too.. It is more expensive than most round here but I like this yard. The only extra I would like is hoofs picked.
