I think I am going to have to part with my beloved trailer :(

Its a blue Ifor Williams 505R, year 2000, aluminium floor, regularly serviced and used. Good condition for year.

Any suggestions how much I should advertise it for?

Hi,

I brought mine, same as yours in all ways! For £1650, yet I brought mine from a friend who very kindly did me a good deal, as when I was looking they were more expensive than that, a few cheaper but possibly not as nice etc. So around that mark but upwards...

p.s out of curiosity, why are you having to sell it?

x

If it's any help- We sold our burgundy 2003 505 which was in good condition but not serviced for £2350. It sold very quickly and we were pleased with the price. I would put it up for around the £2000 mark- more or less depending on how quick you want a sale.

Heidirusso I don't have to sell it, but my horse has collateral ligament damage so is taking early retirement for now. I don't know if she will come back into work, let alone competing so instead of just leaving it sitting around I am going to sell it and pay off my credit card :)

Thanks Lauren, I'm not in a hurry to sell it so will maybe put it up for just above the 2k mark

Thanks zoeshiloh thats interesting. Thats what I paid for mine a few years ago. It'd be nice to get what I paid for it, its worth a go I suppose!

Sorry to hear about your horse - that's shame. Good idea to pay off your credit card though. Goodluck with selling, at least you can hold out for the best price.

It was a friend who offered me that (we are upgrading to a multi treka at some point this year! Just waiting to find out when it can be made!) and I haven't advertised, but there are a lot of people looking as they new 506 and 511 haven't gone down too well.

I'm after an Ifor 505 and have been watching on Ebay for a while to see what the auctions end at.

£1650 is probably the minimum you should get on Ebay, you would probably get nearer the £2k mark though - put on lots of good clear pictures and a detailed description.

Do not accept payment by Paypal as you will not be able to prove 'delivery', and you do get some scammers who pay by Paypal and then say they have not received the item. Paypal then happily refund them. Even a signed receipt does not convince Paypal that they have the item. Best to accept cash on collection - even cleared cheques can be 'recalled'.

I'm hanging on in the hopes of getting one for £1650, just missed one the other day - it was really nice too, but I've set my limit and must stick to it.

The family already moan about how much I spend on the horse :)
